  • Patent number: 11914899
Abstract: A system (e.g., NVMe controller) for managing access to a memory resource by multiple users may include memory storing function queue categorizations for function queues associated with each user, and circuitry to store and execute a multi-user arbitration algorithm that arbitrates access to the memory resource by the multiple users. The function queue categorizations assign a function category to each function queue associated with each user.

  • Publication number: 20230329206
Abstract: A fishing reel includes a frame, a spool coupled to the frame for rotation about a rotational axis, a light source, a first optic, a sensor, a second optic, a controller, and a braking mechanism. The spool includes a first flange and a second flange. The first optic is positioned such that light emanating from the light source and passing through the first optic generates a substantially collimated band of light parallel with the rotational axis. The second optic is positioned and configured to focus the substantially collimated band of light toward the sensor. The controller is electrically coupled to the sensor and is configured to receive signals from the sensor and to generate a braking signal. The braking mechanism is electrically coupled to the controller, and the braking mechanism applies a braking force to slow the spool in response to the braking signal.

  • Patent number: 11672383
Abstract: A wet or dry paper towel dispenser may include a housing including a base portion, a paper towel roll holding portion, and a paper towel advancing and wetting portion. The dispenser may also include a paper towel advancing mechanism and a liquid dispensing mechanism at least portion of each disposed in the paper towel advancing and wetting portion. The paper towel advancing mechanism may be configured to receive sheet product of the paper towel roll and advance a portion of the sheet product of the paper towel roll. The liquid dispensing mechanism may be configured to selectively wet the portion of the sheet product of the paper towel roll as the paper towel advancing mechanism advances the portion of the sheet product of the paper roll.

  • Publication number: 20230106264
Abstract: An improved bio-electrochemical wastewater treatment process and system (1) is disclosed. An electrode assembly (4) is defined by interconnecting a set of electrode modules (5). Each electrode module (5) has a first electrode of an anode-cathode pair coated with electrogenic microbes adapted to generate electrons via the consumption of organic matter in wastewater. An electrode module (5) has a second electrode of the anode-cathode pair, and a body, supporting and separating the first and second electrodes. Each electrode module (5) also comprises an interface for physically connecting the module with at least one other of the set.

  • Publication number: 20210068419
Abstract: A machine for dispensing an individual portion of a frozen dessert may include a cartridge cart having walls forming a cavity having a longitudinal central axis and configured to accommodate a cartridge. The cartridge may include a tube having first and second ends, a nozzle disposed at the first end, and a piston disposed between the nozzle and the second end and configured to slidably move along the tube. The individual portion of the frozen dessert may be contained within the tube between the nozzle and the piston. The machine may also include a plunger, a drive source operably coupled to the plunger and configured to drive the plunger along the central axis, and a support configured to support the first end of the cartridge such that actuating the drive source causes the individual portion of frozen dessert to dispense through the nozzle.

  • Patent number: 6253264
Abstract: A preferred coding network uses an architecture called a Base-Filter-Resource (BFR) system. This approach integrates the advantages of format-specific compression into a general-purpose compression tool serving a wide range of data formats. Source data is parsed into blocks of similar data and each parsed blocks are compressed using a respectively selected compression algorithm. The algorithm can be chosen from a static model of the data or can be adaptive to the data in the parsed block. The parsed blocks are then combined into an encoded data file. For decoding, the process is reversed.
