Abstract: Apparatuses and methods for facilitating supporting of an object are disclosed. One such apparatus includes an engagement member attachable to the object and adjustable from a first configuration to a second configuration in which the engagement member is configured to engage a support. The engagement member preferably occupies less volume in the first configuration than in the second configuration. The support may include a lifting member such as a forklift tine, or may include a support surface, for example.

Abstract: A seam configuration for a flexible container and a method for forming the seam configuration. The seam configuration includes a first hem having a first hem outer surface, a second hem having a second hem outer surface, and a primary seam which is formed by fusing together the first hem outer surface and the second hem outer surface. The method includes the steps of forming a first fold to create the first hem, forming a second fold to create the second hem, positioning the first hem outer surface and the second hem outer surface so that they are contiguous, and then fusing together the first hem outer surface and the second hem outer surface to form the primary seam.

Abstract: A flexible container and a method for constructing the flexible container. The flexible container is comprised of a bottom and a plurality of side walls projecting from the bottom. The side walls and the bottom define a container space and one baffle connection line extends along each of the side walls. A plurality of baffles are contained within the container space, with each baffle being attached to two adjacent side walls of the container along the baffle connection lines for those side walls.

Abstract: The invention is a bulk container having at least one lifting strap for lifting and transporting the container, a lifting strap for use with a bulk container and a method for producing a lifting strap. The lifting strap is generally planar, defines a strap plane and is comprised of a material. The lifting strap has first and second ends, a length extending therebetween, first and second edges and a width extending therebetween. Further, the lifting strap is comprised of at least one longitudinal rib extending along a portion of the length of the lifting strap such that the rib urges the lifting strap to raise to an upstanding position for acceptance of a lifting member therein, wherein the rib is comprised of a fixed discontinuity in the material such that the rib extends outside the strap plane.
