Patent number: 9332079Abstract: A system and a method are provided for managing network activation with a carrier and registration with a service provider. In one example, the method determines a network activation status. If the network is not activated, a utility is used to perform the activation. Further, the status of registration with a provider is determined. If not registered, a request is sent to a server of the service provider for a registration file configured to gather user registration information. The registration file is then received from the server. The registration file is executed on the personal computer. Data gathered by the registration file is then returned to the service provider's server to complete the registration procedures.Type: GrantFiled: July 6, 2007Date of Patent: May 3, 2016Assignee: QUALCOMM IncorporatedInventors: Craig S. Skinner, William Shu-Woon Wong, Brian Gerald Kuhn

Patent number: 8939070Abstract: There is provided a juicer for extracting juice from fruits and vegetables comprising a lower base, an upper base, a top cover with a hollow cylindrical feeding tube, a grating-disk and mesh filter assembly, a pulp collector, and a pusher. The upper base is mounted on a lower base and receives the grating-disk and mesh filter assembly. The grating disk is a concave shape and tooth-like cutters are arranged into rows on an inclined surface of the grating disk. The top cover is fitted on the upper base and houses a hollow cylindrical feeding tube. Inside the feeding tube is an anti-rotation protrusion, located at the bottom of the feeding tube made an integral part of the feeding tube to prevent the food from spinning inside the tube. The pusher is inserted into the feeding tube and contains a opening that matches the anti-rotation protrusion and into which rests the anti-rotation protrusion. The bottom of the pusher is convex-shaped and matches the concave grating disk.Type: GrantFiled: May 1, 2008Date of Patent: January 27, 2015Assignee: Electrical Investments LimitedInventors: Shu Wan Cheung, William Shu Sang Cheung, To Yin Pang

Patent number: 8144873Abstract: A method and device are provided for handling network activation between a computer and a carrier. In one example, the method involves receiving a command to initiate network activation procedures. The network activation status of the computer is then determined. If the computer is network enabled, a request is sent to a device having network activation information. The network activation information is received from the device. The computer is then configured with the network activation information in order to establish network activation with the carrier.Type: GrantFiled: March 25, 2008Date of Patent: March 27, 2012Assignee: Access Co., Ltd.Inventors: Craig Skinner, William Shu-woon Wong, Brian Gerald Kuhn

Patent number: 6928300Abstract: A preferences option maintains preferences for enabling and disabling notifications for device(s) of an electronic device. The notifications are for any of e-mails, phone calls, or other communications, or events (datebook alarms, for example). One or more devices may produce notifications, and individual preferences for each device may be maintained, or a single set of notifications preferences may direct the output of notifications for each device. The notifications preferences includes a schedule option that allows a time period where the notifications may be specifically enabled or disabled automatically. In one embodiment, the notifications preferences control notifications only, and in other embodiments, the notification preferences control notifications and whether or not the devices themselves are enabled or operating (for example, turning a cell phone device off).Type: GrantFiled: November 9, 2000Date of Patent: August 9, 2005Assignee: PalmSource, Inc.Inventors: Craig Skinner, William Shu-woon Wong, John Richard Brown
