The contacts are flexible from a first position to a second position when curved contact sections of the one or more contacts engage a mating connection surface of the complementary mating filter housing assembly.     Abstract: The present invention relates to anti-microbial cosmetic compositions for the care of the human body or parts thereof, comprising derivatives of histatins or fragments thereof. It has been found that the anti-microbial activity of histatins or their fragments can be significantly enhanced by capping them at the C-terminus or at the C- and N-terminus and/or complexing them with anti-microbially-active metal ions. The thus modified histatins and histatin fragments were found to have a significantly increased activity against a range of microbial strains, and were found to be useful as controlled delivery agents for the metal ions. They are suitable for a whole range of anti-microbial applications, such as anti-plaque, and-caries, anti-bad breath oral applications, deodorant applications, personal hygiene applications and so on, for which they are included in any suitable carrier medium. Preferred are the capped derivatives, which have been complexed with Ag, Cu, Zn or Sn.

    Abstract: Hydroponic gardening apparatus mounted within its own shelter includes a lower reservoir containing a liquid nutrient, and a pump for flowing liquid nutrient from the lower reservoir to an upper reservoir. At least one feed conduit inclined downwardly away from the upper reservoir and connected in fluid communication with the interior of the upper reservoir guides under the force of gravity liquid nutrient from the upper reservoir to a container having growing media disposed in the interior thereof adapted to support and to nourish plants therein. The container is inclined downwardly toward the lower reservoir, and a return conduit is connected in fluid communication with the container for guiding liquid nutrient therefrom back to the lower container for recycling purposes. The hydroponic gardening apparatus is mounted within the interior of a shelter, and the container and conduits are mounted on support posts for the transparent roof of the shelter.
