    Abstract: A casement window assembly includes a hinged sash window pivotally mounted within a window frame. The casement window assembly has a snubber mechanism. The snubber mechanism has a first member connected to the window frame and a second member attached to the sash window. The snubber members have cooperative structures that cooperatively confront each other in spaced relation to selectively engage each other to prevent undue bowing of the sash window when subjected to high stresses such as from high wind loads.
