  • Publication number: 20220277244
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus for calibrating data using relaxed benchmarks constraints are described. An example apparatus for generating a unique solution when calibrating data via a calibration model having relaxed benchmark constraints includes processor circuitry to execute computer-readable instructions. The computer-readable instructions are to execute the calibration model based on matrix data, a target loss function, a weight loss function, and a budget parameter. The computer-readable instructions are to determine calibrated weights resulting from execution of the calibration model. The computer-readable instructions are to incorporate a stability parameter into the calibration model in response to determining that the calibrated weights do not provide a unique solution for the executed calibration model. The stability parameter is to reduce an influence of the budget parameter on the calibration model to enable the generation of a unique solution.

  • Patent number: 11272145
Abstract: A cargo monitoring system comprising a controller and an image-capturing device for capturing a first image of cargo in response to a first signal from the controller. The system includes a sensor for taking sensor readings in relation to the cargo and for transmitting the sensor readings to the controller. The controller is configured to send a second signal to the image-capturing device to cause the image-capturing device to capture a second image of the cargo if the controller determines from the sensor readings that a cargo-damaging event has occurred.

  • Patent number: 11155610
Abstract: The invention provides a dual VEGF/PDGF antagonist comprising a VEGF antagonist linked to a PDGF antagonist. The VEGF antagonist is an antibody to a VEGF or VEGFR or is a VEGFR extracellular trap segment (i.e., a segment from the extracellular region of one or more VEGFR receptors that inhibits binding of at least one VEGFR to at least one VEGF). The PDGF antagonist is an antibody to a PDGF or PDGFR or is a PDGFR extracellular trap segment (i.e., segment from the extracellular region of one or more PDGFRs, which inhibits binding of at least one PDGFR and at least one PDGF). The dual antagonist is preferably conjugated to a half-life extending moiety, such as a HEMA-PC polymer. The dual antagonist is particularly useful for treating wet aged related macular degeneration.

  • Patent number: 10297274
Abstract: A method for recording parity data of data stripes within shingled media recording bands in a redundant array of independent disks can be accomplished using a plurality of shingled media recording (SMR) hard disk drives (HDD) each with a plurality of shingled data bands. A data stream received from a host computer system is sequentially stored to a plurality of block segments in successive order, one stripe at a time successively. Each of the shingled data bands possess n data blocks (or multiple data blocks that are grouped together as a data unit) that are successively ordered, each corresponding successive data block from all of the SMR HDDs defines a data stripe, accordingly n data blocks in each SMR HDD defines n stripes across the shingled data bands. A transaction group sync triggers a halt to writing the data stream. The rest of the data stripe is written with fill bits.

  • Publication number: 20180187771
Abstract: A lubrication system for a gearbox of a transmission system includes an outlet line that is configured to allow an egress of oil from the gearbox. The lubrication system also includes a scavenging pump that is fluidly coupled with the outlet line and configured to draw oil from the gearbox via the outlet line. The lubrication system further includes a pressure sensor that is disposed in the outlet line and located upstream of the scavenging pump. The pressure sensor is configured to measure a pressure of fluid entering the scavenging pump. The lubrication system further includes a controller that is communicably coupled to the pressure sensor and the scavenging pump. The controller is configured to vary a displacement of fluid from the scavenging pump based on a comparison of the pressure of fluid entering the scavenging pump as measured by the pressure sensor with at least one pre-determined threshold value.

  • Publication number: 20160341299
Abstract: A transmission system for a rock header includes a gearbox having a first outlet line and a second outlet line disposed parallel to the first outlet line. Each of the first and second outlet lines may allow egress of oil from the gearbox. A first gear pump and a second gear pump are disposed in fluid communication with the first outlet line and the second outlet line respectively for operatively scavenging oil from the gearbox. A first intermediary fluid line communicates oil from an outlet of the first gear pump to an inlet of the second gear pump, and a second intermediary fluid line communicates oil from an outlet of the second gear pump to an inlet of the first gear pump. The system also includes a first orifice placed in the first intermediary line, and a second orifice placed in the second intermediary line.
