  • Publication number: 20230414001
Abstract: Chairs are provided as frames and fabric coverings that operate together as an integrated system so that the chairs have the appearance of being permanently upholstered even while the fabric coverings can be easily detached and re-attached, such as for washing or replacement. The fabric coverings attached using a variety of attachment mechanisms including zippers, flexible loops and grooved wheels, and snap-in buttons. The detachability of the fabric coverings of the chairs allows them to be washed as frequently as desired by a consumer, using consumer washing machines, rather than requiring expensive cleaning by a specialty upholstery cleaner. These covers also allow for changing the pattern, color, and texture of the chair as frequently as the consumer desires, at a cost that is a fraction of the price of a new chair or reupholstering a chair.

  • Publication number: 20230389728
Abstract: Disclosed is a mounting assembly for hanging articles, for example, pictures, art, mirrors and the like. A receiver component attaches to a surface (e.g., a wall) and a hook component attached to an article (e.g., a picture frame). The receiver component includes a slot. The hook component includes a tab insertable in the slot. The receiver component attaches to the flat surface by use of adhesive material and/or fasteners. The receiver component may also include marks and a built-in level to allow for precise positioning of the receiver component. The hook component attaches to the article using fasteners in elongated slots thereby allowing precise positioning. Once the hook component is inserted into the receiver component, a user may further adjust the article's horizontal position and angle (e.g., level).

  • Patent number: 6102593
Abstract: A printer using font modification logic for improving the print quality of high speed thermal printing is disclosed. A microprocessor modifies the font by shortening the vertical component of each symbol to account for the retained heat of the individual print elements. This font modification eliminates the vertical tails that are a common problem when using thermal technology. A method of high speed printing is also disclosed consisting of redefining the set of symbols to be printed by subtracting part of the vertical element in the print instruction, selectively printing the symbols, moving the paper, and printing another row of information. This process is repeated until all of the information is printed on the paper.
