  • Patent number: 7500681
Abstract: A hand trolley for transporting materials in tubs or bins having frame with an upper and lower sections that are rotatably connected about a lower base section. The trolley includes a number of bracket lugs that are removably connected to the frame for attaching tubs or bins of various shapes and sizes. Attached to the trolley for moving the cart is a pair of wheels connected by an axle through the lower base section. The trolley also includes a locking mechanism wherein, engagement of the locking mechanism holds the lower base section in a transport position transverse from the upper section and disengagement of the locking mechanism allows the lower base section to rotate from a position transverse from said upper section to a storage position that is substantially parallel to the upper section.

  • Patent number: 7140158
Abstract: A composite beam is disclosed. The component has spaced pairs of elongate wood members, the members of each pair being in face to face mating orientation. A generally sinuous shaped spacer rod sub assembly having spacer portions connected at junctures is provided. The elongate member pairs each having mating faces including recesses contoured to receive one of the junctures and parts of connected spacer portions. The connected spacer portions each project angularly in opposed directions from their associated juncture and its recess in one of the pairs toward the other pair of members. Each of the junctures is disposed in an associated recess in the members whereby to provide a composite beam having the pairs of elongate members maintained in spaced relationship by the rod subassembly.

  • Publication number: 20060163253
Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to a beverage container having an opening assembly apparatus and method having an advanced design for sealing the contents within the container after opening. The opening assembly includes a lid having a top and bottom side, the lid being attached to a receptacle for containing the beverage contents, and a recess located about the top side of the lid for facilitating the filling of the receptacle. An aperture is located about the recess and projecting from the aperture is an undulating flange on the bottom side of the lid. A closure member coactively engaging the aperture and recess to provide a sealing engagement by inserting a first portion of the closure member into the recess and a second portion of the closure member into the aperture and rotating the closure member from an opened position to a closed position. The closure member includes a breakable seal for providing security that the container is tamper free.

  • Publication number: 20050274070
Abstract: An arrangement for supporting a tree comprising a bracket and a pair of elongate bands each including a plurality of circular openings. The bands being extendable in loops from the bracket around a tree. The bracket has a pair of band receiving openings to receive free ends of the respective bands. A respective mounting opening is provided a short distance from each of the receiving openings. A pair of tangentially extending housings are respectively adjacent each of the openings to receive anchored ends of the respective bands. Inclined projections extend into each housing from an upper wall thereof to retain the band by engagement of the projections through respective retention openings in the bands. Bands can be tightened by location of a tool extending through a retention opening towards the anchored end of the respective band extending from the housing and also through a retention opening in the free end of the band through the respective mounting, such that a lever action can be applied with the tool.

  • Publication number: 20050268437
Abstract: A hose clamp is disclosed which includes an elongate metal band having a set of longitudinally and uniformly spaced clamping projections. A housing element is secured to the band to delineate a housing space. A clamp tightening element is rotatably mounted in the space. The clamping element includes perimetrical threads formed therein for engagement with selected ones of the projections. The elements include coacting surfaces for locating the clamp element in a tightening position relative to the band and allowing band tightening rotation of the clamp element as the thread engages at least a certain one of the projections to tighten the clamp about a clamped object.
