Abstract: A light emitting diode package assembly is provided including a lower housing element and an upper housing element creating an internal pcb storage chamber. A light emitting diode driver pcb is mounted within. A light emitting diode pcb is mounted within and includes a light emitting diode element and a touch switch antenna. A personality pcb mounted is within between the light emitting diode driver pcb and the light emitting diode pcb. The personality pcb comprises touch switch circuitry and theatre dimming circuitry. At least one pcb interconnect places the light emitting diode driver pcb, the light emitting diode pcb and the personality pcb in communication with each other.

  • Patent number: 6121780
Abstract: A system for measuring the level of the interface between gasoline and water in an underground gasoline storage vessel includes an electronics enclosure from which a transmission line probe extends for contact with the gasoline and water within the vessel. The transmission line probe carries a reflection target disposed at a fixed known position with respect to the electronics enclosure, and at a position normally to be covered by the gasoline. Electronics within the enclosure employ time-domain reflectometry techniques to determine the position or level of the air/liquid surface of the gasoline, and to obtain an apparent position reflection measurement from the target disposed within the gasoline.

  • Patent number: 6085589
Abstract: A system for measuring level of material in a vessel that includes a transmission line probe adapted to be positioned for contact with material in the vessel. Electronics are coupled to the transmission line probe for launching microwave radiation along the probe and detecting radiation reflected by the electrical impedance discontinuity presented at the air/material interface in the vessel. Level of the air/material interface within the vessel is determined employing time domain reflectometry techniques, and is displayed as a continuous function over a predetermined range. The system range is calibrated by means of a target selectively manually positionable along the probe rod while the probe is disposed outside of the vessel. First and second signals are selectively stored in the system electronics with the target disposed at positions along the probe rod corresponding to the ends of the material level measurement range.

  • Patent number: 5644299
Abstract: Apparatus for indicating material level that includes a pair of ultrasonic transducers on opposed sides of a space for receiving the material at the level to be detected. A swept frequency oscillator is coupled to one of the transducers so that the transducer radiates into the material space ultrasonic energy that continuously sweeps back and forth between a low frequency range at which such energy is transmitted to the other transducer by resonance of the entire apparatus and independent of presence of material in the material space, and a higher frequency range at which such energy is transmitted to the other transducer only when material is present in the space between the transducers. Detection circuitry indicates presence of material between the transducers upon receipt of the higher frequency energy, and failure of the apparatus upon failure to receive the lower frequency energy.

  • Patent number: 5161411
Abstract: A system for indicating level of material that includes first and second probes disposed for operative coupling with material whose level is to be sensed. First and second electrical input circuits are respectively coupled to the probes and provide first and second signals. First and second electrical output circuits provide respective indications of material level by operating relay switches. A latch circuit has inputs that receive the respective first and second signals, and an output that changes state only when both first and second signals change state. The output circuits are selectively connected by jumpers either to the associated input circuit or to the latch output.

  • Patent number: 4779460
Abstract: A sensor and system for measuring the level of a liquid includes a linear potentiometer having a resistance circuit element and a mechanism for changing the resistance of the circuit element including a conductor formed from a semiconducting composition having a resistance inversely proportional to the horizontal force it experiences. The sensor includes an elongated vertical support structure and a float mechanism which is mounted on the support structure to move vertically therealong at the level of the liquid in a fuel storage tank. The float mechanism includes a roller which rolls along the support structure and supplies the horizontal force to the semiconducting composition. The semiconductor composition cooperates with another conductor coupled to the resistance circuit element to produce an electrical signal which is the function of the vertical position of the roller on the support structure.

  • Patent number: 4165935
Abstract: A differential float control is provided by a single switch and a single float wherein a vertical guide tube contains a magnetically operated switch, and a free float surrounds the tube and rises and falls with the liquid level and carries two magnets. As the float moves in one direction the switch is magnetically latched closed by one magnet and remains closed until unlatched by the other magnet as the float returns in the opposite direction. The switch may be normally open, or normally closed, so that movement of the float may provide any desired circuit sequence for operating a liquid level controlling pump or the like for maintaining the liquid level within prescribed limits.

  • Patent number: 4165501
Abstract: A position sensing system having one or more magnetically operated switches at predetermined spaced locations and a magnet attached to a carrier moving along a path adjacent thereto and as the carrier passes each switch, magnetically latching it in one condition until the carrier returns in the opposite direction and unlatches it. The switches may be unlatched open or latched closed, or any combination, as the carrier travels past the switches in one direction and shifted to the opposite condition when the carrier moves in the opposite direction.
