  • Patent number: 11145984
Abstract: A folded metal dipole antenna includes a balun having two sides, the sides having metal contact end portions for electrical connection to a printed circuit board, two radiating elements, each radiating element in coplanar relationship to a corresponding side of the balun, and an antenna support member having a spacer portion placed between the two sides of the balun. The spacer portion is used to separate one radiating element of the dipole antenna from another radiating element of the dipole antenna.

  • Publication number: 20190229419
Abstract: An antenna apparatus for mounting on a non-conductive chassis with a printed circuit board includes a folded metal antenna element having an integral folded metal balun, wherein the balun is connected to the folded metal antenna, and metal end portions on the folded metal balun connect with conductive pads on a printed circuit board. The pads directly connect to RF circuitry on the printed circuit board such that an electrical connection between the metal end portions of the folded metal balun and the RF circuitry is made without an RF cable or separate connector.

  • Publication number: 20170230264
Abstract: A method for testing a power amplifier assembled in a gateway connected to a service provider network includes remotely testing the radio of the gateway. The method configures the gateway to perform a first baseline receive noise measurement and compare it to a second receiver noise measurement. The power amplifier is determined to be in a fault condition if the second receiver noise measurement is greater than the baseline receiver noise measurement.

  • Patent number: 7546101
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a system for the variable attenuation of broadband differential signals. An exemplary system of variable attenuation of broadband differential signals includes attenuation devices arranged such that an attenuation device on the positive side of the differential signal has a corresponding attenuation device on the negative side of the differential signal with both of the corresponding attenuation devices on the same semiconductor die.

  • Patent number: 7341397
Abstract: A utility trailer provides a frame defining a forward open bottom work space, a medially rearward deck and a rearwardmost extendable impact attenuator. Hitch structure encloses the forward portion of the work space. The impact attenuator is deployable spacedly rearwardly of the utility trailer in work site mode and provides frictional, mechanical and inertial devices to attenuate a forwardly directed impact. Additional impact attenuators extend between the hitch structure and a vehicle in towing motion. Plural jacks provide work site leveling and positional stability. The utility trailer provides an arch supported hoist to service the workspace and carries signs to provide traffic information and direction.

  • Patent number: 7288050
Abstract: A magnetically resistive exercise device for rehabilitative therapy provides a body with adjustably inclinable planar work surfaces and a curvilinear work surface all formed of magnetically permeable material. A movable exercise piece supportable by or on a user's hand or foot carries at least one magnet for user generated motion over the work surfaces. Therapeutic rehabilitation is provided by frictional resistance to movement of the exercise piece on work surface. The frictional resistance may be adjustably varied by number and strength of magnets carried in the exercise piece and by surface coverings of differing frictional characteristics on the exercise piece, the work surface or both.

  • Patent number: 6351768
Abstract: Method and apparatus that verifies integrity of communications facilities leased from another network. An idle signal is routed to the lessor network at a first point of interface and should be returned from the lessor network at a second point of interface. If the idle signal is not returned, it indicates a failure of integrity in the leased transmission facilities. If the idle signal is not returned, the type of signal that is returned may indicate a type of error that has occurred, such as equipment failure or allocation of the facility for a different purpose.

  • Patent number: 5177787
Abstract: The invention is directed to an improved scrambler capable of self-calibrating output signals. In one embodiment, the scrambler provides an encoded signal along separate signal pulses. A portion of one signal is made to correspond to a portion of another signal to thereby self-calibrate the signals. Also, portions of the incoming video signal are forced to correspond with internally generated voltage level signals.
