  • Patent number: 9482482
Abstract: An apparatus for mounting and locking on a wall a firearm such as a rifle or shotgun comprising a housing assembly for supporting a firearm, a trigger and receiver guard assembly for preventing access to the trigger and receiver of the firearm, and a means for pinning the trigger and receiver guard assembly and firearm within the housing assembly while in a locked position.

  • Publication number: 20160179379
Abstract: A system and method for allocating different temperature data to storage devices within a computer system including inexpensive non-volatile storage, such as hard disk drive (HDD) storage devices; expensive non-volatile storage, such as solid-state drive (SSD) storage devices; and expensive volatile storage, such as system cache memory. The system and method allocates cold to warm data having access frequencies up to a first access frequency threshold to inexpensive non-volatile storage; allocates hot data having access frequencies greater than the first access frequency value and ranging up to a second access frequency threshold, to expensive non-volatile storage; and allocates very hot data having access frequencies greater than the second access frequency value and which resides during normal system operation in expensive volatile storage, to said inexpensive non-volatile storage.

  • Patent number: 6912873
Abstract: A portable ice making unit including a housing adapted for stacking with cargo containers for land or sea transport. The housing is also capable of being to be attached to the bed of an over land transporter. The ice making unit may be 100% self contained requiring no on site water or electric power. The ice making unit may dispense ice on call or on cash demand.

  • Patent number: 5153393
Abstract: A crash sensor for a passive motor vehicle occupant restraint system, such as an inflatable air bag or seat belt tensioner. The crash sensor comprises a tubular passageway having a central, longitudinal axis; a sensing mass arranged to move within the passageway in the direction of the longitudinal axis between a first location and a second location; a device for biasing the sensing mass toward the first location in the passageway; and a device for closing an electrical circuit when the sensing mass moves to the second location in the passageway. The invention provides methods for reducing the motion of the sensing mass and the tubular passageway in a direction perpendicular to the longitude, and/or methods for reducing the angular momentum of the sensing mass, during motion of the sensing mass in the longitudinal direction.
