  • Publication number: 20240122080
Abstract: A superconductor device includes a high superconductivity transition temperature enhanced from the raw material transition temperature. The superconductor device includes a matrix material and a core material. The enhancing matrix material and the core material together create a system of strongly coupled carriers. A plurality of low-dimensional conductive features can be embedded in the matrix. The low-dimensional conductive features (e.g., nanowires or nanoparticles) can be conductors or superconductors. An interaction between electrons of the low-dimensional conductive features and the enhancing matrix material can promote excitations that increase a superconductivity transition temperature of the superconductor device.

  • Patent number: 6308538
Abstract: A knitted web and a method for making the same includes a plurality of wipers, each having a wiper body with a length defined between finished leading and trailing edges and a width defined between opposed, selvaged side edges. The wipers are knitted with continuous yarns, including a primary yarn and a reinforcing yarn, and a separable portion is knitted between individual wipers using a dissociable yarn. Loose primary and reinforcing yarns extending between wipers are cut and the dissociable yarn is removed from between the wipers to separate the web into individual wipers with edges that require no edge treatment to prevent raveling.

  • Patent number: 6003037
Abstract: An improved object-oriented programming environment for facilitating creation of database management applications is disclosed. The programming environment provides a method and apparatus for establishing named connections between encapsulated, individually designed software components referred to as "smart objects," which communicate and act in a coordinated fashion as part of a finished software application. Connections between smart objects are referred to as "smart links." A basic set of smart links for coordinating a core group of smart objects is disclosed, and a substantial variety of database management applications can be created using the disclosed smart objects and smart containers. The core group of smart objects each include four common capabilities: the capability to initialize and destroy themselves, the capability to get and set attributes, the capability to add and remove smart links, and the capability to communicate using a standard communication interface.

  • Patent number: 5428740
Abstract: In a data processing system employed for simulation, a simulation program (24) produces simulation results (26), while a pre-compiler (18) used to prepare the simulation program (24) generates cause and effect lists (22). The cause and effect lists (22) and simulation results (26) are organized in data groups associated with the various variables in the model. A presentation module (28) operates a display (16) so as to display variable names (37) that represent the data groups and icons (32, 34, 36, 38, 40, 42, and 44) that represent operations that can be performed on the data groups. By using a mouse (15) to "click on" a data-group name (48) and an icon (40-55, 59), the user can cause a selected data-group operation to be performed on a selected data group.

  • Patent number: 4894829
Abstract: A source computer program for generating object computer programs, referred to as test program sets, for use in operating a particular automatic test equipment unit (ATE). The ATE is useable for testing a variety of electrical equipment type units each of which is referred to with relation to said ATE as a unit under test (UUT). The source program involves (1) having a test engineer, who designs the individual tests, enter the tests graphically at a work station, (2) verifying the match between the entered test design, the ATE capabilities and the UUT description, and (3) having an automatic way of generating a test program for a test program set from the stored semantic content of the graphically entered test design.
