  • Patent number: 6114629
Abstract: The invention is directed to a grommet including a cylindrical body fabried from rubber or synthetic rubber material. The body has a centrally located aperture extending therethrough and at least one radially located aperture with a slit for easily receiving a cable or the like. The grommet further includes a rigid insert secured to the body in the centrally located aperture. The insert has female threads formed therein for releasably securing a tool thereto to remove the grommet from the ballast tank without destroying the body of the grommet. The insert has a tubular member and an outwardly projecting circumferential flange formed on the tubular member. The body is formed on the tubular member wherein the flange secures the insert axially with respect to the body. Preferably, the body is fabricated from neoprene and is vulcanized to its final form.

  • Patent number: 4970821
Abstract: A heavy canvas type sheet of fabric has multiple rows of VELCRO.RTM. type hook or loop members on a front surface from a top to bottom configuration. A top edge has a strap attached along with a pair of fastening rings. The strap descends along a back surface of the sheet below a bottom edge. Multiple plastic envelopes having hooks or loops closing the envelopes are attached by a corresponding strip containing hooks or loops along the back of each envelope to the hook or loop rows on the fabric. The envelopes can contain fishing lures and can be easily removed to attached to the fisherperson's clothes.

  • Patent number: 4745348
Abstract: An apparatus for starting and running a plurality of three-phase motors from a single-phase power source is described. Two of the main coils of a three-phase motor are used to run the motor as a single-phase induction motor. The third coil of a three-phase motor is used as a starting coil and is selectively powered through a switch and a capacitor. The capacitor provides the necessary difference in the phase angle of the current in the starting coil and the main coils to provide starting torque for the operation of the motor.
