In one example embodiment, a method for resolving wireless device configuration problems includes various acts including identifying all wireless devices that are wired to a network, retrieving configuration information from each wireless device, retrieving wireless device incompatibility information and corresponding configuration solutions for each wireless device, attempting to contact each wireless device over one or more wireless communication channels in order to determine if one or more wireless capabilities of each wireless device are functioning properly, and determining that the incompatibility information of one of the wireless devices with a malfunctioning wireless capability conflicts with the configuration information of one or more of the wireless devices.

The wireless transmitter is configured to receive data by way of the input port and to transmit the received data over a wireless channel.

    Abstract: This disclosure relates implementing resource allocation in a wireless communication system. In one example, first a resource allocation manager maintains a database that includes categories of wireless end point device errors. Each category in the database is cross-referenced to a corresponding diagnostic service. Next, the resource allocation manager receives a notification of an error in a wireless end point device. Then, the resource allocation manager categorizing the error. Next, the resource allocation manager queries the database to identify a diagnostic service that is cross-referenced to the error category to which the error corresponds. Finally, the resource allocation manager sends the notification of the error to the diagnostic service that is cross-referenced to the error category to which the error corresponds.

    Abstract: This disclosure relates to the use of wireless communication systems to manage the remote monitoring of end point devices. In one example embodiment, a method for management of a wireless diagnostic system is disclosed. First, management software initiates a connection between the management software and a TAP. Next, the management software receives a session identifier for each session initiated between the TAP and another device since the last connection between the management software and the TAP. Then the management software sends a request to receive data substantially in real-time from the TAP. Finally, the management software receives data substantially in real-time from the TAP. In this example method, one or more of the acts is performed in connection with a wireless communication channel.
