  • Patent number: 6430792
Abstract: A swaging tool includes a generally tubular housing having a first end portion including a port for providing pressurized fluid, a second end portion defining a closed cylinder and an intermediate portion therebetween that includes an elongated aperture through an outer surface of the housing. A single-piece piston is movably located within the housing, and axially extends through the intermediate housing portion such that at least a portion of the piston is visible through the aperture. A fixed jaw unit is located on the second end portion of the housing and a movable jaw unit is removably engageable directly to the piston through the aperture.

  • Patent number: 5184142
Abstract: An automotive vehicle antenna comprises an outer cover having a cross section elongated in the direction of travel of the vehicle. The cover, which includes an enlarged section covering a loading coil, strengthens the antenna against bending due to wind force and presents a low wind resistance profile. The antenna may be window mounted and is provided with a conductive base engaging a conductive pivot support. The antenna may be pivoted to a flattened position to avoid damage by objects such as may be encountered in an automatic carwash. The antenna may be adjusted to a precise upright position for optimum reception and is adapted to return to a previously adjusted position when it is returned to the upright position from a flattened position.

  • Patent number: 4542504
Abstract: A shared data receiver for multiplexing and phase synchronizing pulse data from a plurality of data sources. An input multiplexer sequentially samples the pulse state of each data source multiple times during each received time period equal to a pulse interval. A transition detector detects pulse transitions in the sample stream from the multiplexer and uses this information to select phase synchronized samples from the multiplexer stream representative of the pulses from the data sources.

  • Patent number: 4464658
Abstract: An improved multipoint access data communication system with collision detection provides a duplicative communication medium, network interface units adapted for connection to transceivers on both media, transceivers adapted for connection to a plurality of network interface units, and a local collision detection circuit associated with each transceiver for detecting collisions between transmissions simultaneously attempted by two or more network interface units connected to the transceiver.

  • Patent number: 4247742
Abstract: A trunk test circuit (107) is disclosed in a stored program controlled toll switching system (103) for executing tests to determine transmission quality of communication trunks connected to a remote telephone office (101). A detector circuit (200) has a novel feedback arrangement comprising a selectable frequency source, comparison circuitry, and a sample and hold circuit, for generating output test signals corresponding to priorly received incoming test signals. The detector circuit is responsive to control signals received from a sequence control circuit (201) for receiving, measuring, and transmitting test signals on a communication trunk (102) under test.
