  • Publication number: 20240003160
Abstract: A bottom bracket made with a box at its center and a flange on opposing sides. Over each flange, on the side of the box, are two equal, opposing through-holes. Each flange is drilled with holes to allow the bracket to be bolted to a roof rack rail. A top bracket made in a box shape with an open bottom to fit over the box-shaped bottom bracket and with the top of the top bracket fabricated to accept two bolts that will screw into an adapter fitted into a rail slot on the underside of a roof-top tent. The top bracket is also has two opposing through-holes matching the through-holes on the sides of the bottom bracket. The top and bottom brackets held together by a locking quick-release pin inserted through the through-hole on the sides of the top and bottom brackets.

  • Publication number: 20110113541
Abstract: An efficient dual-use toilet that provides a simple, easy-to-use and reliable solution to the problem of wasted toilet flush water is disclosed. The improved toilet provides a two-compartment toilet bowl, wherein the main bowl is used for solid waste and a hydrophobic secondary bowl is used for liquid waste. When only the secondary bowl is used, the toilet does not require flushing. When the toilet is flushed for solid wastes, water simultaneously cleanses the secondary bowl. Importantly, the drain line for the secondary bowl is configured such that during the flush cycle air is prevented coming back through the sewer system and into the household. The system is fully automatic and provides a very easy-to-learn “flush and forget” solution for the user. The amount of water flushed to the sewer system is greatly reduced, and consequently so is the burden on fresh water supply systems as well as the energy cost in required to deliver water.

  • Patent number: 6783578
Abstract: An air purification apparatus is disclosed that includes a HEPA or ULPA cartridge filter having mounted axially therein an UV lamp extending from a closed end of the cartridge. An air channeling housing is provided for removably mounting the combination filter and lamp assembly for ingress of an air stream through the open end of the combination filter and lamp assembly and for egress of the air stream through the filter medium. A fan can be mounted in the housing either upstream or downstream of the combination filter to provide the means for flowing air through the housing for decontamination by both the filter and UV irradiation provided by the combination filter and lamp assembly. With this arrangement, all contaminants trapped on the filter are within the combination filter and lamp assembly for constant illumination by the UV lamp to destroy bacteria both in the incoming air stream and while resident on the interior of the filter assembly.
