  • Patent number: 11813203
Abstract: Apparatus and methods for providing a surgical table base with sufficient stiffness and adjustable support members with force feedback are described herein. In some embodiments, a base for a surgical table includes a base body to which other components of a surgical table can be coupled. A surgical table, and optionally a patient supportable by the surgical table, and any equipment to be carried by the surgical table, collectively representing a table load to be carried by the base body to support the surgical table on a surface. The base further includes a support assembly coupled to the base body to support the base body on the surface. The support assembly includes at least four support members. Each support member has a surface-engaging end and can transmit a portion of a total load represented by the weight of the base and the table load through the surface-engaging end to the surface. The surface-engaging ends of any three of the four support members define a plane.

  • Patent number: 11512511
Abstract: A locking mechanism comprises an S-shaped locking member which comprises respective locking hooks arranged at the end of opposed arms of the locking member. A pivot is arranged between the arms of the locking member. The locking member rotates around the axis (A) of the pivot. The locking mechanism further comprises a coupling for coupling the locking member to an actuator for rotating the locking member around the pivot axis (A). The coupling comprises at least one coupling element, an actuator coupling for coupling the at least one coupling element to the actuator and first and second drive couplings for coupling the at least one coupling element independently to each arm of the locking member for transmitting rotational movement thereto, such that failure of one arm of the locking member will not cause loss of drive to the other arm of the locking member.

  • Publication number: 20200025227
Abstract: A locking mechanism includes a locking member moveable in an axial direction A between a first position and a second position. The locking mechanism is able to lock the system when the locking member is in the first position and not to lock the system when the locking member is in the second position. The locking mechanism comprises an actuator for moving the locking member between the first position and the second position, and a housing that houses the locking member and the actuator. The actuator comprises a piston that is static relative to the housing and a cylinder that is moveable relative to the housing, and the cylinder forms at least a part of the locking member. The locking mechanism is configured to lock the system by absorbing bending forces F applied to the locking member by the system when the locking member is in the first position.

  • Patent number: 10210260
Abstract: A client device presents a resource to a user. In order to present the resource, the client device generates and renders one or more presentation strings. The client device generates a presentation string by identifying a template module that corresponds to an content resource object in a dataset downloaded by the client device. The client device then performs a template execution operation on the content resource object. The template module corresponding to the content resource object specifies the template execution operation.

  • Patent number: 10034721
Abstract: Apparatuses and methods described herein relate to arm carts for transporting and coupling a robotic arm to a surgical table. In some embodiments, an arm cart may include a damping mechanism (e.g., a spring, a dashpot) configured to damp an impact force imparted to the robotic arm due to the arm contacting another object, such as a surgical table. In other embodiments, an arm cart may include a backstop with an inclined surface configured to damp an impact force imparted to the robotic arm. In other embodiments, the arm cart may include a compliant arm support that is bendable to damp an impact force imparted to a robotic arm. In some embodiments, the arm cart may include a damping mechanism configured to move from an extended position to a retracted position to permit a robotic arm to couple to a surgical table.
