  • Publication number: 20130124625
Abstract: Equivalent concepts expressed across multiple domains are matched and associated with a metapage generated by a social networking system. User preferences expressed on multiple domains, represented as pages in a social networking system, may be organized by concept and shared with advertisers, third-party developers, and other users of the social networking system using the metapages generated for the concepts. Aggregated social information may be presented to users of the social networking system viewing a page associated with a metapage. Information presented on external websites may be used to link pages across multiple domains with a metapage generated on the social networking system, presenting the information on other external websites associated with the metapage as links on the pages associated with the metapage. Feedback from users may be used to include or exclude pages from being associated with a generated metapage.

  • Publication number: 20130123821
Abstract: A single-use, multi-purpose neuro-dissector (“dissector”), suitable for a variety of surgical procedures, is disclosed. A handle of a material which degrades in heat sufficient to sterilize same holds an extended, slender rod, preferably of stainless steel or similar suitable material. A section of the rod near its distal end (away from the handle) is turned at an angle to the remainder of the rod, and a cutting surface and cutting edge are formed in the turned-down section. The distal end of the rod forms a non-cutting tip, for example a blunt ball tip, to avoid unintentional cutting of surrounding tissues. The cutting surface and edge are coated with a material which prevents re-sharpening, such as titanium nitride. The combination of a handle material which degrades in the heat of sterilization, if attempted, and a cutting surface which is not re-sharpenable, render the dissector a single-use device.

  • Publication number: 20130125205
Abstract: A request for establishing an IP session from a mobile device to be activated and connected to a cellular network is redirected to a web portal or platform of the cellular network. When the mobile device sends an authentication request for requesting establishment of an IP session to the cellular network, the mobile device receives a restricted IP address from the cellular network if the mobile device is not currently authorized for communication via the cellular network. A reverse domain name system lookup is performed on the restricted IP address to find a host name of a web portal or platform of the cellular network corresponding to the restricted IP address. The mobile device determines whether or not redirection of an IP communication request to the web portal or platform of the cellular network is to occur based on the host name.

  • Publication number: 20130124508
Abstract: Various embodiments of a system and methods for real-time image collection and sharing are described. A group of geographically co-located mobile device users may capture images on the mobile devices during a session. The devices may send the images, during the same session, to a database where the images may be stored as a real-time image collection. The image collection may be shared, during the same session, among the mobile device users. The users may receive notification of new images in the image collection based on user preferences. The users may request, from the image collection, images containing particular content by identifying the content on an image and sending a search request which includes the identified content. A computation server may maintain a data set which associates similar images in the image collection. The data set may be updated for each new image that is added to the image collection.

  • Publication number: 20130124455
Abstract: A method for hybrid Discovery Library Adapter (DLA) book processing identifies a first logical group in a first DLA book, the first DLA book including a first set of objects constructed according to a Common Data Model (CDM) specification to represent a first set of corresponding instances of resources at a first time, the first logical group being a grouping of related subset of the first set of objects. A first value corresponding to the first logical group, and usable for ascertaining a difference between the first logical group and a second logical group in a second DLA book, is computed. A second value corresponding to the second logical group is computed and matched with the first value. If matched, a change in the first logical group as compared to the second logical group is identified and output to a DLA delta book.

  • Patent number: 8442465
Abstract: An RF circuit is disclosed having a low-noise amplification (LNA) circuit and a bypass path that provides a bypass around the LNA circuit. In the amplification mode, the bypass path is open and the LNA circuit amplifies the receive signal in accordance within a power gain frequency response. During the amplification mode, the LNA circuit is tuned such that a power gain resonance frequency band of the power gain frequency response is within the receive frequency band. On the other hand, in the bypass mode, the bypass path is closed and the receive signal is not amplified but rather bypasses the LNA circuit. Also, during the bypass mode, the power gain frequency response of the LNA circuit is transposed to reduce or eliminate excessive insertion losses caused by the LNA circuit within the receive frequency band.
