  • Patent number: 10853471
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a technique for managing permissions associated with the control of a host device that are provided to a group of wireless devices. The host device is configured to pair with a first wireless device. In response to pairing with the first wireless device, the host device grants a first level of permissions for controlling the host device to the first wireless device. Subsequently, the host device can receive a second request from a second wireless device to pair with the host device. In response to pairing with the second wireless device, the host device can grant a second level of permissions for controlling the host device to second wireless device, where the second level of permissions is distinct from the first level of permissions.

  • Patent number: 10850755
Abstract: Railyard management system for managing, assembling, disassembling and validating train consists and monitoring railcars in the railyard. The system provides for the collection of data and the movement of data from lower processing levels to higher processing levels, where an inference engine draws inferences regarding the current state of railcars and train consists within the railyard. The inferences are assigned confidence levels based on the methods and available data used to draw the inferences. The system can be used to track the location and orientation of railcars in the railyard and to validate order and orientation of assets in a train consist.

  • Patent number: 10849672
Abstract: Liners for cryogenic treatment systems are described where a cryogenic fluid or gas may be introduced into a liner expanded within a body lumen such as the uterine cavity. The liner may be intentionally sized to be substantially larger than the typical size of the uterine cavity, e.g., 1.2 times (or more), greater than the size of the uterine cavity into which the liner is inserted. Because the liner is sized intentionally larger than the body lumen to be treated, the liner may never fully expand when deployed. But even with folds or portions of the liner being folded upon itself, the liner may remain sufficiently supple such that the resulting uncontrolled folds allow for complete conformance of the liner against the anatomy of the contacted tissue.

  • Patent number: 10855602
Abstract: Embodiments of the disclosure provide techniques for measuring congestion and controlling quality of service to a shared resource. A module that interfaces with the shared resource monitors the usage of the shared resource by accessing clients. Upon detecting that the rate of usage of the shared resource has exceeded a maximum rate supported by the shared resource, the module determines and transmits a congestion metric to clients that are currently attempting to access the shared resource. Clients, in turn determine a delay period based on the congestion metric prior to attempting another access of the shared resource.

  • Patent number: 10853263
Abstract: Systems, apparatuses, and methods for implementing a unified kernel virtual address space for heterogeneous computing are disclosed. A system includes at least a first subsystem running a first kernel, an input/output memory management unit (IOMMU), and a second subsystem running a second kernel. In order to share a memory buffer between the two subsystems, the first subsystem allocates a block of memory in part of the system memory controlled by the first subsystem. A first mapping is created from a first logical address of the kernel address space of the first subsystem to the block of memory. Then, the IOMMU creates a second mapping to map the physical address of that block of memory from a second logical address of the kernel address space of the second subsystem. These mappings allow the first and second subsystems to share buffer pointers which reference the block of memory.

  • Patent number: 10855413
Abstract: A method and apparatus for evaluating and optimizing a signaling system is described. A pattern of test information is generated in a transmit circuit of the system and is transmitted to a receive circuit. A similar pattern of information is generated in the receive circuit and used as a reference. The receive circuit compares the patterns. Any differences between the patterns are observable. In one embodiment, a linear feedback shift register (LFSR) is implemented to produce patterns. An embodiment of the present disclosure may be practiced with various types of signaling systems, including those with single-ended signals and those with differential signals. An embodiment of the present disclosure may be applied to systems communicating a single bit of information on a single conductor at a given time and to systems communicating multiple bits of information on a single conductor simultaneously.

  • Patent number: 10855850
Abstract: Data is processed in a telecommunications network. First and second notifications are received, via an input interface, from first and second Charging Trigger Functions, CTFs, in the telecommunications network. The first and second notifications relate to network resource usage in the telecommunications network. A scalable transformation function is used to transform data derived from the first and second notifications into a first usage detail report in a first detail report format and a second usage detail report in a second, different detail report format. The first and second usage detail reports are output, via an output interface, to at least one recipient system.

  • Patent number: 10849461
Abstract: A food preparation appliance has a base, a blade member rotatable in a direction of rotation, and a container with a closed bottom, an open top and a tubular sidewall together defining an interior space of the container. The top of the container is configured for releasable connection with the base, with the blade member disposed within the interior space of the container. The sidewall has a rib projecting inward of the interior space of the container and extending lengthwise along at least a portion of the sidewall from the top of the container toward the bottom of the container. The rib has, in the direction of rotation of the blade member, a peak defined as the shortest transverse dimension measured from the center of the container to the sidewall at a respective height along the portion of the sidewall having the rib, the rib being asymmetric in transverse cross-section.

  • Patent number: 10854165
Abstract: A method for calibrating a device having a first sensor and a second sensor. The method includes capturing sensor data using the first sensor and the second sensor. The device maintains a calibration profile including a translation parameter and a rotation parameter to model a spatial relationship between the first sensor and the second sensor. The method also includes determining a calibration level associated with the calibration profile at a first time. The method further includes determining, based on the calibration level, to perform a calibration process. The method further includes performing the calibration process at the first time by generating one or both of a calibrated translation parameter and a calibrated rotation parameter and replacing one or both of the translation parameter and the rotation parameter with one or both of the calibrated translation parameter and the calibrated rotation parameter.
