Abstract: A fuel nozzle for use in a gas turbine includes a pre-mix flow passage for directing a flow segment of a flow of a working fluid through the fuel nozzle. A first swirler vane and a second swirler vane extend within the pre-mix flow passage. The first swirler vane provides a first wake region within the flow segment. The second swirler vane provides a second wake region within the flow segment. A fuel injection peg is disposed downstream from the first swirler vane and the second swirler vane. The fuel injection peg is positioned within the flow segment between the first wake region and the second wake region.

Abstract: Methods and apparatuses provide real-time or near real-time streaming of content, specified in one or more playlists, using transfer protocols such as an HTTP compliant protocol. In one embodiment, a method can adaptively determine a minimum overlap for an overlap in time between two streams being received concurrently in order to determine when to switch between the two streams, and the minimum overlap can be determined based on connection speed. In another embodiment, a minimum playlist duration can be set as a multiple of a target duration which specifies a maximum duration of a media file specified in a playlist. In another embodiment, a method can enforce a start point for playback at a client device.

  • Publication number: 20140311317
Abstract: Guitar bridge pins are formed of hard materials shaped to mechanically cooperate with standard guitar bridge configurations. Either molded or machined into a prescribed shape, guitar bridge pins fit into tapered shaped holes of most common guitar bridges. Guitar bridge pins of these systems include a main body portion into which a recess seat is formed. Further a string via is arranged from the recess seat to an exit aperture, the string via provides a path through which a guitar string may pass. These guitar pins provide a high-performance system for mounting and fixing guitar strings at the bridge of a standard guitar. Specifically these bridge pin devices include at least four major integrated elements including a main body, a recess seat, a string via and a stud element. Additionally, these bridge pin systems may also include cooperating spacing and locking washers which may be used in conjunction with threaded fasteners.

  • Publication number: 20140311526
Abstract: A method for cleaning a precision component by immersing the component in a heated solvating agent disposed in a pre-clean module tank to thereby remove an adherent contaminant; treating the component with a rinsing solvent to remove any remaining contaminants and residual solvating agent in a separate rinse degreaser whereby contaminants removed from the component collect in the rinse degreaser; and removing contaminated rinsing solvent from the rinse degreaser to a micro-still to separate the contaminants from the rinsing solvent and direct the rinsing solvent to the rinse degreaser. The solvent system exhibits complete miscibility of the cleaning solvent with the rinse solvent to allow for (a) complete rinsing of the cleaning solvent by the rinse solvent, and (b) the complete separation of the cleaning solvent and the rinse solvent by simple distillation.

  • Publication number: 20140313458
Abstract: An electronic display which can be mounted above a paved surface in an outdoor environment. A surface or plate is placed behind the electronic display to define a gap where cooling air can be drawn through said gap in order to cool the electronic display. A plurality of ribs may be placed within the gap and in thermal communication with the electronic display. The density of the ribs may be varied according to the inlet and exhaust openings for the cooling air. The ribs may be placed at a higher density near the exhaust to account for the increase in temperature of the cooling air as it travels through the gap.

  • Publication number: 20140311283
Abstract: A length adjustable guard system for shielding the driveshaft and coupling joint directly abuts the motor housing at one end and is secured at a second end to the pump housing. Interchangeable mounting plates allow the guard assembly to attach to various pumps. The guard system is lightweight, easily installed by one individual, and incorporates vent ports and inspection ports, allowing a worker to grease motor and pump bearings without removing the guard system. Flexible finger guards further secure the motor and pump assembly as they are designed to matingly conform to recesses about the pump housing.

  • Publication number: 20140313853
Abstract: A mixer assembly having vertically displaced differential agitators. The first agitator is a primary mixing component formed of a hub having slots for positioning and securing radially extending angularly displaced stirring members. The hub is of a unitary construction and has three arcuate generally convex sidewalls attached about a central bore for receiving a drive shaft. The spaces between vertically extending edges of the sidewalls form the slots into which the stirring members are pivotally attached. The second agitator is a secondary mixing component formed of a disc shaped retaining member with stirring members angularly displaced about the edge of the disc. The stirring members of both the first and second agitators extend horizontally with rotation of the drive shaft, with the first agitator effective for both loosening sediment and stirring, while the second agitator increases the stirring effect.
