The method also can include determining potential search results based upon the at least one search parameter. The method further can include determining one or more related searches from one or more second users. The method also can include determining two or more search results at least partially based upon the at least one search parameter and the one or more related searches. The method additionally can include determining that the two or more search results are related to a topic. The method further can include organizing the two or more search results based upon the topic. The method also can include displaying the two or more search results to the first user. Abstract: Embodiments of the invention are directed to systems, methods and computer program products for providing image retrieval based on transaction identification. An exemplary apparatus is configured to: capture an image of a document. The document is typically associated with a transaction ID. Upon capturing the document image the system may process the image of the document to collect document information, and subsequently store the document information. The system may later receive a request for the document information that is similarly associated with the transaction ID. This document information is retrieved based at least partially on the request. An activity log may be additionally created which comprises a record of one or more request associated with the transaction ID.

In some embodiments, a method is provided that includes: (a) receive an image of the negotiable instrument, wherein the image of the negotiable instrument comprises one or more elements that are used for processing the negotiable instrument and non-element portions that are not used in processing the negotiable instrument; (b) capture, using the image capture device, images of one or more elements of the negotiable instrument; (c) store the images of the one or more elements of the negotiable instrument in the database; and (d) store, as white space, the non-element portions of the image of the negotiable instrument in the database.

Abstract: Embodiments are disclosed for a touch-based device and methods for operation thereof. One embodiment provides a touch-based device having a display with a plurality of pixels and a touch input sensor overlying the display. The touch input sensor has a plurality of touch regions, each of which overlie an associated set of the pixels. The touch-based device further comprises a display controller configured to update the pixels according to a schema during which pixels are updated during update periods. The touch-based device yet further comprises a touch controller configured to recognize selectively applied touch inputs at the plurality of touch regions. The touch controller and the display controller are synchronized such that, for a given touch region, touch input recognition is modified while the display controller is updating the set of pixels associated with that touch region.

Abstract: A fitting for a heat pump having at least one heat exchanger includes a first fitting element configured for connection with a tubing portion of the heat exchanger and a second fitting element removably connectable to the first fitting element and configured for connection with a tubing portion of the heat exchanger. A non-conductive element is disposed between at least a portion of the first fitting element and at least a portion of the second fitting element such that, when connected, the non-conducting element deforms between the first fitting element and the second fitting element to electrically isolate the second fitting element from the first fitting element.

Abstract: A handle assembly for use with a surgical instrument having an operative distal end portion is disclosed. The handle assembly includes a housing, a drive element, an actuator, a spring arm, and a biasing element. The drive element is disposed at least partially within the housing and is longitudinally translatable with respect to the housing. The actuator is disposed in mechanical cooperation with the housing. The spring arm is disposed at least partially within the housing. The biasing element is for biasing the actuator. A first portion of the biasing element is disposed in mechanical cooperation with the actuator and a second portion of the biasing element is disposed in mechanical corporation with the spring arm. At least a partial actuation of the actuator distally translates the drive element from a proximal position where a portion of the drive element is in contact with the spring arm to a distal position where the drive element is not in contact with the spring arm.

Abstract: Methods and systems for the treatment for ALS incorporating stem cells harvested from the subject to be treated. These stem cells may be genetically altered with the addition of several genes of interest. Then, the patient will receive systemic gene therapy for the muscles and directed specifically at motor neurons. In this multi-pronged treatment approach, the stem cells provide immune regulation and the regeneration of motor neurons. And, the new motor neurons carry the added genes, which are protective against motor neuron death from ALS. The systemic therapy increases the amount of genes, which further reduces the effects of ALS. Additional gene therapy administered in the muscle will be further protective of the axon, while maintaining muscle mass and function.

Abstract: Methods and systems are disclosed for performing a biometric function. A means is provided for positioning a hand of an individual in a substantially repeatable manner. An optical direct-imaging sensor is disposed relative to the means for positioning to image a portion of the hand when the hand is positioned by the means for positioning. A computational unit in communication with the optical direct-imaging sensor has instructions to operate the optical direct-imaging sensor to generate an image of the portion of the hand, and instructions to perform the biometric function with the generated image.

Abstract: Protective chaps, such as chainsaw protective chaps, including a right legging, a left legging, and a waist attachment element such as a belt for attaching the chaps to the waist of a wearer, Each legging has preferably 2-5 strap units, such as straps, for securing the legging around the back of a leg of the wearer. One or more of the strap units is repositionable higher or lower on its legging to provide comfort and better fit for the wearer and so that a damaged strap unit or strap can be easily replaced.

Abstract: A method for performing a laparoscopic procedure may include inserting a bag through an opening. The method may also include delivering tissue into the bag, sealing the bag, and inflating the bag to create an artificial pneumoperitoneum that extends the abdomen and provides additional working and viewing space. Further, the method may include carrying out a procedure on the tissue located in the inflated bag.

Abstract: An air filter assembly having a primary filter element, a secondary filter element, and a housing with an outlet tube is disclosed. The primary filter element is operably installed within the housing and has an interior volume. The secondary filter element is operably installed within the primary filter element interior volume and has an interior volume defined by a first wall extending between a closed end cap and an opposite open end cap. The open end cap of the secondary filter element defines a sealing structure having a first portion extending into the secondary filter interior volume. The outlet tube is operably connected to the housing air outlet opening and includes an inset collar being at least partially disposed within the secondary filter interior volume and extending over at least a part of the sealing structure first portion.

Abstract: A memory cell includes an elongated first electrode coupled to a magnetic tunnel junction (MTJ) structure and an elongated second electrode aligned with the elongated first electrode coupled to the MTJ structure. The elongated electrodes are configured to direct mutually additive portions of a switching current induced magnetic field through the MTJ. The mutually additive portions enhance switching of the MTJ in response to application of the switching current.

Abstract: A flex-circuit or a rigid printed circuit board is formed by depositing an adhesive pattern on a top surface of a substrate. The adhesive pattern corresponds to a copper foil pattern to be formed for interconnecting electronic components. A thin copper foil is then laminated over the substrate to adhere the foil to the adhesive pattern. The foil is then peeled off the substrate such that the foil overlying the adhesive pattern remains, and the foil that is not overlying the adhesive pattern is removed. In one embodiment, the foil is cut or weakened along the edges of the adhesive pattern to minimize tearing of the foil. The foil may be first affixed to a sheet for increased mechanical integrity, prior to the foil being laminated over the substrate, followed by kiss-cutting the foil while on the sheet to avoid tearing of the foil during the lift-off step.

Abstract: A step sensor for mounting on a ladder having a step. The step sensor adapted to be mounted to the ladder. The step sensor includes a housing that holds a power source and electronic circuitry. An emitter is connected to the electronic circuitry and emits a light source over a top surface of the step. A sensor is also connected to the electronic circuitry and receives reflected light from the light source that is reflected by an object on the step. A noise generator generates an alert noise in response to the reflected light being detected by the light sensor, whereby the presence of an object is detected on the step and the alert is generated by the noise generator. Abstract: Systems, apparatus and methods for reducing a long list of access points (APs) to a short list of access points are presented. Advantageously, a mobile device only needs to search for and measure access points on the short list to determine a position fix, thereby saving battery power, reducing a time to fix and/or improving location accuracy. Embodiments enable a mobile device to determine which access points should be detectable at a new location of the mobile device. Various embodiments comprise using: (1) linked APs; (2) grouped APs; (3) associated APs; and (4) feedback on APs.

Abstract: A method and a processing device are provided for sequentially aggregating data to a write log included in a volume of a random-access medium. When data of a received write request is determined to be suitable for sequentially aggregating to a write log, the data may be written to the write log and a remapping tree, for mapping originally intended destinations on the random-access medium to one or more corresponding entries in the write log, may be maintained and updated. At time periods, a checkpoint may be written to the write log. The checkpoint may include information describing entries of the write log. One or more of the checkpoints may be used to recover the write log, at least partially, after a dirty shutdown. Entries of the write log may be drained to respective originally intended destinations upon an occurrence of one of a number of conditions.

Abstract: Hinged assemblies, and children's products including at least one hinged assembly, include a base member and a hinged member operatively and pivotally coupled to the base member to define a hinge. The hinge is configured to release if an obstruction is positioned between the hinged member and the base member while the hinged member is being closed and if a closing torque is greater than or equal to a release torque. The hinge also may be configured to not release when an opening torque is applied when the hinged member is in its open position even when the opening torque is greater than the release torque.

Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for treating lignocellulosic biomass to be supplied to a fermentation system for production of a fermentation product. The systems and methods comprise pre-treating the biomass into pre-treated biomass and separating the pre-treated biomass into a liquid component comprising sugars and a solids component comprising cellulose and lignin. The systems and methods also comprise treating the solids component of the pre-treated biomass into a treated component. The biomass comprises lignocellulosic material. Treating the solids component comprises application of an enzyme formulation and makeup water to form a slurry. The enzyme formulation comprises a cellulase enzyme. The makeup water includes a clarified thin stillage composition and/or an anaerobic membrane digester effluent composition.
