The apparatus and methods further include a tube frame removably connected to the cassette and configured to hold a plurality of tubes in a position to be connected to tubes in the portable housing.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for dispensing prepackaged medication packages includes an apparatus having a body with an internal cavity and an opening. A central processing unit operably communicates with an actuator within the cavity to regulate and monitor the dispensation of the packages, while the actuator operably communicates with a feed mechanism within the cavity to dispense the packages.

Abstract: A boat trailer that includes a first front sidewall and a second front sidewall connected to a frame. The front sidewalls include at least one compartment to store equipment, tools, gear, or other items. The front sidewalls may be comprised of fiberglass and may include at least one toe socket. Abstract: A multi-layered compressor housing and method of manufacture is provided. The housing defines an interior space and includes first and second layers having first and second major surfaces respectivley. The first and second layers are secured together by the frictional engagement of the first and second major surfaces which each substantially enclose the interior space defined by the housing. The housing may be manufactured by placing first and second layers of sheet stock material in mutual facing engagement wherein the two layers are relatively moveable. The first and second relatively moveable layers are then simultaneously formed into a non-planar shape defining at least a portion of the housing. A compressor is then mounted in the housing and the housing is hermetically sealed. The simultaneous forming of the first and second layers into a non-planar shape causes the frictional engagement of the layers whereby the layers are secured together.

Abstract: A system and method for efficiently and accurately detecting errors in a network is provided. Devices coupled to a network are configured to determine their local network status and transmit their local network status to a centralized location. The centralized location is configured to receive the local network status from each device and provide network status for the entire network. The centralized location is also configured to analyze the collective network status information and report any network errors. The centralized location is further configured to present the information in a format that allows a user of the network to quickly determine the configuration and status of the network (such as a computer generated graphical representation of the network).

Abstract: An apparatus, system, and method are provided for controlling link status changes across multiple independent control modules. The apparatus includes a copy services module configured to control multiple link adapters, each configured to establish multiple communication links between a source and a target storage device. The adapter transmits a link status change notification to the copy services module and starts a timer upon transmitting the link status change notification. The copy services module simultaneously processes link status change notifications from a plurality of communication links. The system includes a communications network and a plurality of storage devices having the above described apparatus.

Abstract: A method to provide information from a first information storage and retrieval system to a second information storage and retrieval system, where the first information storage and retrieval system comprises (N) PPRC adapters and information. The method generates and saves an Established Path Bitmap which recites the (N) PPRC adapters, and generates an Available Path Bitmap. If a PPRC adapter is in communication with the secondary storage system, then the method adds that adapter to the Available Path Bitmap. The primary information storage and retrieval system generates a PPRC task comprising a flag set to “off”. The method copies the Available Path Bitmap as a Working Bitmap, and generates a PPRC request comprising a flag set to “on”, selects one of the adapters recited in the Working Bitmap, and provides the PPRC request to that selected adapter. The method then once attempts to provide information to the second information storage and retrieval system using the selected adapter.

Abstract: A method processing clinical material for medical research includes receiving samples and accompanying records and providing them with a removable label that is placed over information originally provided on the sample, records or other material. The removable label includes an identifying patient code, but arbitrary to the actual identity of the patient. The patient code is matched with the actual confidential patient information in a generally non-accessible location. The label includes an adhesive whereby the label can be removed without damaging the original information. In this way, the labels can be removed if the materials need to be sent back to the treating physician. Additionally, the use of removable labels enables the individual(s) designated with labeling the material when it comes into the research facility to double check the correctness of the new labeling if necessary.

Abstract: Provided is a method, system and program for synchronizing sequential subtasks of a task, so that the subtasks can be dispatched to generate operations in a particular sequence. In one embodiment, a subtask which has been prepared for dispatching is queued in a queue until the queued subtask is the next subtask in sequence for dispatching. In one embodiment, the subtasks may be sorted in the queue by task and by subtask sequence.

Abstract: The invention provides devices, device configurations and methods for improved sensitivity, detection level and efficiency in mass spectrometry particularly as applied to biological molecules, including biological polymers, such as proteins and nucleic acids. In one aspect, the invention relates to charged droplet sources and their use as ion sources and as components in ion sources. In another aspect, the invention relates to charged droplet traps and their use as ion sources and as elements of ion sources. Further, the invention relates to the use of aerodynamic lenses for high efficiency ion transport to a charge particle analyzer, particularly a mass analyzer. Devices of this invention allow mass spectral analysis of a single charged droplet. The ion sources of this invention can be combined with any charge particle detector or mass analyzer, but are a particularly benefit when used in combination with a time of flight mass spectrometer.

Abstract: A method for peer-to-peer system recovery, where the peer-to-peer system comprises a plurality of virtual tape controllers in communication with a first virtual tape server and with a second virtual tape server. The method generates a shutdown key, saves that shutdown key in each of the plurality of virtual tape controllers, and takes both virtual tape servers out of operation. Subsequently, the method returns one of the virtual tape servers to operation. Each virtual tape controller decides whether to place that operational virtual tape server on-line, and determines if the number of virtual tape controllers electing to place the operational virtual tape server on-line is greater than a pre-determined VTC agreement threshold. If the number of virtual tape controllers electing to place the operational virtual tape server on-line is greater than the VTC agreement threshold, then the method places the peer-to-peer system on-line using only the operational virtual tape server.
