Abstract: A U-shaped vehicle with flexible beams equipped with an adjustable toe-angle, variable height suspension. Railway vehicles are attached between the beams of the vehicle. The rear suspension has a variable toe angle to control the spread of the beams so the vehicle can back around railway vehicles. Rear wheel axles are mounted on arms connected to pivot points. An axle and its pivot points are non-coplaner. The pivot points are angled so that an outer pivot point is higher than an inner pivot point. When the vehicle is lowered close to the ground, the rear wheels develop slight toe out. When the vehicle is raised above its normal ride height, the rear wheels develop slight toe in, and the beams of the vehicle spread apart when the vehicle is driven in reverse.

Abstract: A railcar coupler which integrates fluid and electrical connectors into one modular unit with increased facility for automatically making such connections when cars are pushed together while achieving compatibility between Janney type and Automatic Intermodal Railway Car Couplers.

Abstract: An inward opening oven intake for a gas chromatographic (GC) oven includes an inward opening intake flap that opens into the GC oven near the bottom of the GC oven. Opening at a flap angle, the inward opening intake flap creates a low-pressure region to draw a large amount of airflow into the GC oven during cool-down. In addition, the inward opening oven intake manipulates the airflow within the GC oven to more efficiently draw heat away from the oven walls. This greater efficiency allows for faster cycle time and higher sample throughput.

Abstract: A column installation assembly for a Micro Gas Chromatograph that includes a coiled column is described. The assembly also includes a mechanism within the Micro Gas Chromatograph for removably securing the coiled column in place.

Abstract: A non co-planar trailing beam or walking beam variable height suspension which allows vehicles to lower cargo bodies onto the ground as well as use conventional loading docks. The toe angle changes as the vehicle height changes to compensate for bending forces applied to trailing and walking beams during high speed turns.
