  • Patent number: 4167756
Abstract: A camera system for providing a split image field of view. The split image camera system utilizes two planar mirrors which are arranged along mutually intersecting planes so as to transmit images from different locations to the camera. The two mirrors are arranged such that their vertical axes are parallel while their horizontal axes intersect along the optical axis of the camera. By placing the reflective surfaces of the mirrors in a direction facing the camera, the camera is capable of viewing images from different locations and thus provides a split image view.

  • Patent number: 4157464
Abstract: A microwave heating system including an articulated waveguide arm for directing microwave energy into a subject to be heated. The articulated arm is positioned by a dual system comprising a sensor of the location of the surface being heated and a computer activated drive mechanism utilizing stored data of the form of the surface of the subject for providing a predetermined scanning path of microwave energy about the subject.

  • Patent number: 4152696
Abstract: A control system capable of selectively providing one of a plurality of control signals with each signal corresponding to a particular predesignated function. The output signals from the control system are generated in response to constant voltage input signals. The system includes an input circuit and a control circuit. The input circuit is coupled to the control circuit through a single transmission line over which a constant level voltage is transmitted. The voltage level of the input signal which is transmitted is selected from among a plurality of predetermined levels in dependence upon the control function to be achieved. The control circuit, in turn, receives the input signals and in response thereto will activate one of a plurality of switches for providing a corresponding output signal which serves to enable an appropriate control function.

  • Patent number: 4058831
Abstract: Panoramic camera scanning system including a rotating mirror system which enables scanning through a full 360.degree. revolution. The mirror system includes a planar mirror member having reflective coatings on both of its surfaces. This planar member is mounted so as to extend along an axis in a direction substantially perpendicular to the optical axis of a camera utilized within the scanning system. By rotating the planar member, a full 360.degree. scanning view can be provided to the camera without requiring any movement of the camera.

  • Patent number: 4008466
Abstract: An angular indicator indicates the relative angular relationship between a towed vehicle and a towing vehicle. A housing of the indicator is mounted on the towing vehicle. A movable arm has one end coupled to the towed vehicle and its other end coupled to the housing and is slidable along a slot provided within the housing. A variable slide resistor is arranged within the housing and is coupled to the end of the movable arm which is slidable along the housing. The variable resistor provides a resistance which varies in dependence upon the relative angular movement between the coupled towed vehicle and towing vehicle. An electrical measuring circuit has an input terminal which is electrically coupled to the resistance of the variable slide resistor and provides an output signal varying in dependence upon variations in the resistance of the variable slide resistor.
