  • Patent number: 9412105
Abstract: A mobile checkout system and method for completing a purchase transaction to purchase items from an internet merchant. A user browses and selects items for purchase from the merchant through a shopping application or browser. During the processing of the transaction, a checkout application installed on a mobile communication device is launched. The checkout application receives a checkout token created by a checkout server that identifies the purchase transaction. The checkout application uses this token and communicates with the checkout server to cause the checkout server to complete the purchase transaction. When the transaction is complete, the shopping application or browser is relaunched and a results page is displayed.

  • Patent number: 9402541
Abstract: An optical device for corneal measuring includes a light source module, a first optical module, a second optical module including a reference mirror, a light splitter and an image analysis unit. The light of the light source module is transmitted to the first and second optical modules through the light splitter. The light is transmitted to a cornea through the light splitter and the first optical module and reflected by the cornea to form a first light, the light is transmitted to the reference mirror through the light splitter and reflected by the reference mirror to form a second light. The first and second lights are transmitted to the light splitter and the image analysis unit. The reference mirror moves along a first direction, and when the first light and the second light interfere with each other, a relative optical path length is obtained.

  • Patent number: 9359213
Abstract: The physical properties of a diamond are altered by: applying a cationic elemental plasma to a diamond at a plasma temperature of less than 300° C.; allowing the cationic plasma to chemically bond with atoms in defects within the diamond; and removing the plasma from the diamond. The cationic elemental plasma may exemplary be selected from the group consisting of as H+, Na+, Li+ and K+. It is preferred that no plasma is projected from a source at the diamond and that the plasma is provided as an environment surrounding the diamond.

  • Publication number: 20160125417
Abstract: Devices, systems, and methods for securely converting a user's existing static payment card data into dynamic card data that can be authenticated by card issuers or by a stand-in service provider, such as a payment network or processor without requiring the card issuers to make infrastructure changes. The dynamic data can be provisioned onto a magnetic secure transmission device (MST) either directly from a card issuer or using a swiper type device. Devices, systems, and methods are also disclosed for securely provisioning a dynamic card onto the MST by the card issuer. These dynamic cards may be used to transmit modified one-time-use card track data from the MST to a point of sale using a dynamic-CVV methodology to provide higher levels of security during a transaction.

  • Patent number: 9317020
Abstract: A system and method for upgrading remote control application resident on a device. To this end, a markup language file is created. The markup language file has a representation of information used to setup the remote control application to communicate with an appliance. The markup language file may be executed, on the device or an intermediate client with which the device is synchronized, to upload the representation of the information to a remote server. At the remote server, the uploaded information is used to automatically display user-selectable, downloadable data files relevant to the control of the appliance. Downloaded data files, which may include command codes and/or graphical user interface elements, may be used within the device to upgrade the ability of the remote control application to communicate with the appliance. The information uploaded to the server may also be used to generate demographic data regarding consumer preferences.

Abstract: An optical blood glucose detecting apparatus and an operating method thereof are disclosed. The optical blood glucose detecting apparatus includes a detecting module, an assisting and strengthening module, and a data processing module. The detecting module provides an incident optical signal passing through a detected portion of skin surface into a skin interstitial fluid, captures a blood glucose optical reflection message of the skin interstitial fluid, and it interferes the blood glucose optical reflection message and the incident optical signal to generate a detected data. The assisting and strengthening module provides a physical or chemical effect on a tissue region under the detected portion to strengthen the blood glucose optical reflection message. The data processing module processes the detected data to determine a blood glucose concentration.

  • Publication number: 20150272433
Abstract: An optical measuring device includes a light source module, a light coupling module, a reference mirror module and a processing unit. The light source module can provide a light. The light of the light source module is transmitted to the reference mirror module and an under-test object through the light coupling module. The light is reflected by the reference mirror module and the under-test object to form a first light and a second light, respectively. The first and second lights are then transmitted to the processing unit through the light coupling module. The processing unit generates an adjusting signal according to the first and second lights. The processing unit transmits the adjusting signal to the reference mirror module. The reference mirror module adjusts the reference mirror module according to the adjusting signal.
