  • Patent number: 10935586
Abstract: A measuring device is provided. The measuring device comprises a user input, a storage, and a processor. In this context, the user input is configured to receive at least one measurement sequence from a user, whereas the storage is configured to store at least one measurement parameter and at least one duration of time required by the measuring device to achieve the at least one measurement parameter. In addition to this, the processor is configured to calculate the total time needed for the at least one measurement sequence on the basis of the at least one duration of time.

  • Publication number: 20170294240
Abstract: A power system can connect to a nuclear reactor through a standardized connection. The standardized connection is configured so that the nuclear reactor may be designed independently of the power system. Systems include a reactor core in fluid communication with a heat exchanger. A fluid loop passes through the heat exchanger. The system includes an output and inlet manifolds at the ends of the fluid loop, terminating in ports that include a standardized connection mechanism. When the secondary system is coupled to the connection mechanism, the fluid loop and the secondary system define a distal loop. A working fluid can then flow through the distal loop and transfer heat from the reactor core to the secondary system.

  • Publication number: 20170294241
Abstract: A molten salt reactor comprising a reactor vessel and a molten salt contained within the reactor vessel. There is a corrosion reduction unit configured to process the molten salt to maintain an oxidation reduction ratio, (E(o)/E(r)), in the molten salt at a substantially constant level, wherein E(o) is an element (E) at a higher oxidation state (o) and E(r) is the element (E) at a lower oxidation state (r).

  • Publication number: 20170271033
Abstract: A molten salt reactor includes a reactor vessel and a molten salt contained within the reactor vessel and undergoing a nuclear reaction. The molten salt includes insoluble metal fission products and dissolved gas fission products produced by the nuclear reaction. There is a separation unit configured to receive the molten salt and remove the insoluble metal fission products and dissolved gas fission products from the molten salt. The separation unit includes a laundering chamber into which the molten salt is introduced to form a froth containing the insoluble metal fission products and dissolved gas fission products. There is a filtration chamber, interconnected to the laundering chamber, configured to receive the froth from the laundering chamber and separate from the froth the insoluble metal fission products and dissolved gas fission products.

  • Patent number: 4322996
Abstract: A circuit for generating alternating repeat keying signals in an electronic keyboard musical instrument includes a clock, a logic circuit responsive to the keys of the instrument and to the clock for producing an alternating sequence of logic signals corresponding to each of the keys, the phase of the sequence corresponding to each undepressed key being the same as the phase of the sequence corresponding to the previous key and the phase of the sequence corresponding to each depressed key being opposite that of the phase of the sequence corresponding to the previous key and a plurality of output gates each developing a keying signal in response to the depression of a respective one of the keys and the logic signals of the corresponding sequence assuming a predetermined state.

  • Patent number: 4208939
Abstract: A data encoder for use with a time multiplexed electronic organ or the like comprises a multiple stage shift register, means for simultaneously loading a predetermined pattern of logic bits in the shift register in response to a key down representative data pulse and means for coupling the output of the shift register to one of the data channels of the organ. In a first mode, the data encoder is operable as a fill-note generator wherein the shift register is loaded in response to an upper manual key down representative data pulse and lower manual key down representative data pulses are coupled to the upper manual data channel of the organ according to the output of the shift register. In a second mode, the data encoder is operable as a chimes generator wherein the shift register is loaded in response to an upper manual key down representative data pulse and the output of the shift register is coupled to the upper manual data channel of the organ.

  • Patent number: 4183277
Abstract: In an electronic musical instrument of the type in which pitch selection is achieved by pulse position modulation, and a rhythm accompaniment is played automatically under the direction of a read-only memory, a shift register is used to create pulse position modulation instructions for harmonic footages of the fundamental note, and selected combinations of these footages are rhythm-modulated and rhythm-counter-modulated under the control of logic gates which are responsive to various manually operated stop tabs.
