  • Publication number: 20230051975
Abstract: A method for identifying imbalances in facility operations. The method includes determining an existence of an imbalance between a first volume of a component at a first point in the facility and a second volume of the component at a second point in the facility, calculating a probability likelihood of the imbalance being caused by one or more likely errors of a set of known likely errors, determining an impact magnitude on the imbalance of each of the one or more likely errors, and assigning an importance ranking to each of the one or more likely errors based on the probability likelihood and the impact magnitude.

  • Publication number: 20160224837
Abstract: A method and system for real-time object and facial recognition is provided. Multiple video or camera data feeds are used to collect information about a location and transmitted to a distributed, web-based framework. The system is adaptive and compiles the metadata from the visual queries and stores the metadata and images in multiple relational databases. The metadata is used heuristically, wherein the rank-ordering of matching-candidates is neural; thereby, reducing the number of comparisons (object or face) needed for recognition, and increasing the speed of the recognition. Employing multiple, web-linked servers and databases improves recognition speed and removes the need for each user to create and maintain a facial recognition system, allowing users to consume and contribute to a vast pool of private or public, geo-located data.

  • Publication number: 20150373003
Abstract: A system for and method of securely controlling access to files on a server are disclosed herein. The method may include receiving an upload of a file to the server, receiving an upload of a first image of an object, using computer vision algorithms to extract first information about the object from the first image, associating the first information with the file, and restricting access to the file. The method may further include receiving an upload of a second image of the object, using the computer vision algorithms to extract second information about the object from the second image, determining that the second information and the first information match within a threshold, and providing access to the file.

  • Publication number: 20090036750
Abstract: A system and process is provided for integrating and controlling devices within an environment for executing a procedure. A state of the environment is determined, at least in part, from the monitored information received from the device(s). In response to a predetermined workflow plan and in view of the determined state of the environment, commands are identified for one or more of the multiple devices to support execution of the workflow plan. A middleware bridge is provided for allowing any application to communicate with any device, given that capabilities of the device satisfy requirements of the application. The middleware system includes a device driver generator adapted for creating device drivers from static, descriptive files, and a service generator adapted for generating services from the device model and application requirements. Integration is accomplished by a matching of device and application services. The devices can be medical devices in a clinical environment.
