  • Patent number: 10120600
Abstract: The present invention is directed to memory systems. More specifically, embodiments of the present invention provide a memory system with a volatile memory, a persistent memory, and a controller. In a save operation, the controller copies contents of the volatile memory to the persistent memory as data units with their corresponding descriptor fields, where the descriptor fields include address information. In a restore operation, the controller copies data units from the persistent memory to their corresponding locations based on addresses stored at descriptor fields. There are other embodiments as well.

  • Publication number: 20180285957
Abstract: A recommendation system associated with an online marketplace can generate recommendations pertaining to users and assets of the online marketplace by computing user-asset propensity scores. The recommendation system can compute a corresponding user-asset propensity score for each unique user-asset combination. Based on the scores, recommendations indicating predicted user behavior can be generated. To generate the user-asset propensity scores, the recommendation system can generate machine-learned models based on training data. The model can comprise a plurality of classifiers each being associated with user-asset attributes.

  • Publication number: 20070060969
Abstract: The invention includes a family of miniaturized, hermetic electrical feedthrough assemblies adapted for implantation within a biological system. An electrical feedthrough assembly according to the invention can be used as a component of an implantable medical device such as an implantable pulse generator, cardioverter-defibrillator, physiologic sensor, drug-delivery system and the like. Such assemblies require biocompatibility and resistance to degradation under applied bias current or voltage. Such an assembly is fabricated by interconnected electrical pathways, or vias, of a conductive metallic paste disposed between ceramic green-state material. The layers are stacked together and sintered to form a substantially monolithic dielectric structure with at least one embedded metallization pathway extending through the structure. The metallization pathway reliably conducts electrical signals even when exposed to body fluids and tissue and providing reliable electrical communication.

  • Publication number: 20060247714
Abstract: A hermetic implantable medical device (IMD) is provided with a single or multi-pin arrangement including selected glass to metal seals for a feedthrough including a ceramic disk member coupled to the sealing glass surface in potential contact with body fluids. By judicious selection of component materials (ferrule, seal insulator and pin) provides for either compression or match seals for electrical feedthroughs (having a single or multi-pin array) provide corrosion resistance and biocompatibility required in IMDs. The resultant feedthrough configuration accommodates one pin within a single ferrule or at least two pins in a single ferrule having a pin surrounded by insulator material (e.g.

  • Publication number: 20060247713
Abstract: An implantable medical device has one or more feedthrough/electrode assemblies positioned around an outer periphery of the device. Each of the assemblies includes a ferrule and a feedthrough conductor that extends longitudinally through the ferrule. Each of the assemblies also includes a cover having an insulative body and an electrical contact that is mounted to the plastic insulator. The plastic insulator is positioned over an inner end of the assembly such that the contact is operatively coupled to the feedthrough conductor of the assembly. The cover can be oriented so as to be freely accessible for purposes of electrically connecting circuitry within the implantable medical device to the contact, and in turn, the feedthrough conductor. In turn, the wiring used in connecting the circuitry and the contact can be routed within the implantable medical device as desired.

  • Patent number: 7130140
Abstract: Servo tracks for magnetic tape storage are written using two opposite polarities, rather than the one polarity normally used in servo tracks. Timing continues to be performed using only pattern members of like polarity, due to physical restraints, but the use of two polarities allows additional information to be encoded in the pattern more efficiently.
