  • Patent number: 11836764
Abstract: Embodiments for communicating and displaying collections of image and video clip content with an opt-out interstitial are described. In one example embodiment, a device receives interface information about a group of content collections from a server computer system. When a user inputs a selection of a first content collection, the device displays images and video clips in a sequence defined by the content collection. Each piece of content is displayed for less than a threshold display time. When the device finishes playing the first content collection, the device presents an opt-out interstitial. Additional content collections generated from content submitted by other client devices can be received from the server computer system, and are presented based on a response input, or a lack of response input, to the opt-out interstitial. Some embodiments include content collections generated by the server computer system, as well as advertising elements presented between content collections.

  • Patent number: 11838380
Abstract: A push notification mechanism at a mobile user device provides for automated limiting of the rate of production of push notification alerts (such as an audible alert or a vibratory alert) and/or push notifications responsive to the occurrence of chat events relevant to a chat application hosted by the user device. Some chat events automatically trigger suppression periods during which push notification alerts are prevented for subsequent chat events that satisfy predefined suppression criteria. Such push notification and/or alert limiting can be performed separately for separate users, chat groups, and/or chat event types.

  • Publication number: 20230213649
Abstract: Methods and systems for ultrasound imaging and beamforming with a matrix array of transducer elements are provided. Receive signals of each transducer array element are amplified. The amplified receive signal of each transducer array element is digitized. A delay and weight are applied on the amplified and digitized receive signals. The amplified, digitized, delayed, and weighted receive signals are summed across all transducer elements of the matrix array to form a dynamically focused receive beam. An application specific integrated circuit (ASIC) that is integrated with the matrix array of transducer elements performs such steps.

  • Publication number: 20230206207
Abstract: Disclosed are a method and a system for resolving a target, which employ two-stage target resolution. A local resolving peer resolves the target at a first-stage target resolution. If the first-stage target resolution fails, the first resolving peer sends target-related information to at least one remote resolving peer for second-stage target resolution in return of a resolvable result indicating that the target is resolvable to corresponding type of identifier. To avoid congested traffic arising from broadcasting target-related information without discrimination to the at least one remote resolving peer, a scheme caching approach and a hint service approach are adopted. Transmission of target-related information can be conducted either concurrently or sequentially in response to traffic condition. Accordingly, the method and the system of the present invention reliably resolve a target with known or unknown format at two stages without compromising the efficiency for target resolution.
