A repeater wireless communications device configured to receive the transmitted data from the communications initiation wireless communications device in the initiator time slot and retransmit the data in a repeater time slot of the given channel. A receiver wireless communications device configured to determine a respective quality metric for data from each of the initiator time slot and the repeater time slot, and use data from the initiator time slot or the repeater time slot based upon the respective quality metrics thereof.

Abstract: A synchronized communications system permits resynchronization in late-entry or fade-recovery conditions. A plurality of communications devices are operative for communicating in a synchronized, encrypted communications channel between each other. At least one of the communications devices is operative for continuously transmitting a resynchronization header that includes a start-of-message field that includes voice or data message information type, a message indicator field, a synchronization check field, a first error correction field computed over the start-of-message/message indicator/synchronization fields, a frame index field and a second error correction field computed on the frame index field. Receivers monitor the channel to decode these headers to perform late-entry or fade recovery.

Abstract: A wire mesh basket is disclosed which features a convertible, removable handle arrangement for permitting the basket to be used either as a tote for potted plants, floral arrangements or the like or as a display stand. For displaying or toting heavy loads a carriage bottom is described, and for stacking several baskets a foldable wire mesh cover is disclosed. The basket may be used as a planter with an appropriate plastic or ceramic liner or as a window box with the use of window sill hooks.
