  • Patent number: 6758245
Abstract: A composite pipe includes a polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) inner layer and a covering layer of fiber-reinforced plastics material which are joined to one another by force-locking and form-locking through an intermediate layer. The intermediate layer is formed of a PFA layer and a layer of glass or carbon fibers, in order to improve adhesive and shear strength between the PTFE inner layer and the covering layer. The PFA layer is adjacent the PTFE inner layer and the layer of glass or carbon fibers is adjacent the covering layer of fiber-reinforced plastics material.

Date of Patent: July 6, 2004
    Assignee: SGL Carbon AG
Inventors: Ralf Troschitz, Willibald Schmidt, Heribert Weisenfeld

  • Patent number: 4330400
Abstract: An apparatus for separating dust, dirt and the like from particulate material utilizes a flow of carrier fluid which passes through the particulate material on a grid or screen. The heavier particulate material falls through the grid while the lighter material as well as the dust, dirt and the like are entrained in the fluid and carried upwardly. A portion of the entrained material precipitates out of the carrier fluid into a vertical collecting bin whereupon it is discharged into another flow of carrier fluid. A sensor within the collecting bin senses the level of the collected precipitated material and reduces the velocity of the carrier fluid when the material in the collecting bin exceeds a predetermined level.

  • Patent number: 4322288
Abstract: An apparatus for sizing or separating different types of particulate material such as grain, seeds and the like without the need for replacing the sizing screens includes a movable diverter disposed between upper and lower sets of screens. When the diverter is in a first position, material passing through a first sizing screen is directed to the top of a second sizing screen and material which has not passed through the first sizing screen is directed to a discharge pan. When the diverter is in a second position, material which has passed through the first sizing screen is directed toward a discharge pan and material which has not passsed through the first sizing screen is directed toward a second sizing screen.
