  • Patent number: 6656076
Abstract: A primary transmission has a first eccentric disc coupled in a fixed driving connection to a drive shaft extending into the transmission housing. An internal ring gear is mounted in the housing concentrically to the drive shaft. A first spur gear is supported on the first eccentric disc as a first drive member and meshes with the internal ring gear. The first spur gear has at least one tooth less than the internal ring gear. The diameter of the circle defined by the end of the first spur gear teeth is smaller than the diameter of the circle defined by the base of the internal ring gear teeth. The first eccentric disc has an eccentric throw that corresponds to half a difference of the circle diameters. A driven disc as a second drive member is concentric to the drive shaft and is torque-transmittingly connected to the first spur gear. One of the drive members has at least one axially projecting pin and the other has at least one receiving bore.

  • Patent number: 4605192
Abstract: A seat rail for vehicle seats, particularly motor vehicle seats, is formed as a housing in which at least one drive element of a seat adjustment device is arranged. A slide rail which serves the longitudinally movable adjustment in a guide rail is formed on the seat rail. Seat adjustment devices to control the height, longitudinal movement or the angle of inclination of the seat may be included in the seat rail.

  • Patent number: 4568053
Abstract: An arrangement for adjustment of seats has a seat support which is connected with rails associated with a vehicle bottom. The front end region of each lateral support member is connected via a swinging member with the associated rail in a pivotable manner. Each swinging member has a toothed rack in which a pinion supported in each lateral support member engages, and the pinion is arranged on a shaft extending through the lateral support members. An actuatable locking device fixes the pinion in the toothed rack together with the seat support in selected positions in stepped manner. For lifting or lowering the front and the rear seat region independently of each other, or together with each other, the rear end region of each lateral support member is also supported on a shaft extending through the seat support and fixedly connected with a pinion associated with each lateral support member.

  • Patent number: 4332418
Abstract: The adjustable hinge mount for seats having a reclinable backrest includes a pivot axle rigidly connected at one end thereof to the hinge mount member assigned to the seat proper and supporting for rotation an eccentric disk which in turn supports the tiltable hinge mount member assigned to the backrest and being formed with a spur gear which engages the inner gear of the wobble gear assembly formed on the seat hinge mount. The threaded pin of the pivot axle engages a locking nut controlled by a spring biased and hand operated lever which normally brings the locking nut into engagement with the face of the eccentric disk and rigidly connects the same to the pivot axle so that the reclinable backrest is arrested in its adjusted angular position.

  • Patent number: 4304384
Abstract: The inclination adjuster for motor vehicle seats having a seat carrier extending at lateral sides of the seat and being pivotable at its rear end about a pivot axle supported for rotation on a guiding track assembly, includes gear segments secured to the lateral sides of the track assembly; a transverse axle supported in horizontal guiding slots in the side walls of the seat carrier and each supporting for rotation a gear pinion; a holding bracket having a vertical cutout defining superposed recesses for receiving the shaft in a selected vertical position of the seat and a free vertical passage; and a hand-operated and spring-biased arresting linkage normally urging the transverse shaft into the selected recess and permitting the movement of the shaft in the guiding slot to adjust the vertical position of the seat when actuated.

  • Patent number: 4278290
Abstract: The potentiometer and reduction gear unit for use in connection with a seat adjuster driven by a servomotor and controlled by a microprocessor which recallably stores the value measured by the potentiometer, comprises a common housing assembled of two parts arranged about the driving shaft of the motor; one housing part accommodates the reduction gears and the other part supports a ringshaped resistor and a contact ring; the slider of the potentiometer bridges the contact ring and resistor ring and is frictionally coupled to the output member of the reduction gears, formed preferably as a wobble gear mechanism.

  • Patent number: 4159815
Abstract: An adjustable seat is mounted on a base for adjustment of its position longitudinally of a motor vehicle, by means of two guiding arrangements, each located at one side of the seat and each including a front guide track and a rear guide track. The seat is arrestable in a multitude of adjusted positions by at least one arresting mechanism which includes a rack mounted on the base, a pinion mounted on the seat for rotation in mesh with the rack, a ratchet connected to the pinion for joint rotation therewith, and a pawl displaceably mounted on the seat and engaging the ratchet to arrest the seat in any selected one of the multitude of adjusted positions. The rack may extend parallel to one of the guide tracks and then a support member which supports the seat on this guide track may be mounted coaxially with the pinion.
