  • Patent number: 8793822
Abstract: A patient lifting and transfer device is shown which includes a pair of vertical columns having a horizontal bar connected between the two columns. There is provided a mobile support that is rotatively mounted to the lower portion of each vertical column. Each mobile support is elongated and rotatable from a first position where the elongated mobile support extends generally perpendicular to the horizontal bar to a second position where the mobile supports extend generally parallel to the horizontal bar. In the second position, the patient lifting and transport device is relatively narrow and can be moved through close quarters and also stored in relatively small areas.

  • Patent number: 8763178
Abstract: An examination table is shown that is capable of being lowered to a relatively low height. The examination table includes a base, a lifting mechanism, an upper frame structure, and a patient support disposed on or supported directly or indirectly by the upper frame. The lifting mechanism interconnects the base with the upper frame structure. In order to reduce the height of the examination table when it assumes the lower position, the lifting mechanism is projected upwardly through a lower portion of the upper frame such that an upper portion of the lifting mechanism assumes a position in an open area of the upper frame. Once the upper portion of the lifting mechanism is projected into the upper frame, the lifting mechanism is attached to the upper frame such that the upper frame moves up and down as the lifting mechanism moves up and down.

  • Patent number: 8677525
Abstract: A patient lifting apparatus is provided and which is operative to lift an injured person or patient from a lower area to an elevated position where the patient or injured person can be easily and safely transferred to a stretcher or other support device. The patient lifting apparatus includes a pair of side sections that are interconnectable. Each side section includes a lifting device and a lifting bar which is movable up and down. In a connected mode, the two side sections are connected together and the lifting bars include attachments for attaching to a patient support. Once attached to the patient support, the lifting bars via the lifting device are operative to lift the patient support upwardly generally between the two side sections where the patient can be transferred to a stretcher or other structure.
