  • Patent number: 6955278
Abstract: A dispenser includes an improved closure arrangement for sealing the dispenser in such a manner that oxidation of the paste-like product to be dispensed is avoided. The main headpiece is spring biased upwardly toward a first position relative to the container and to the product delivery piston, whereupon the upper end surface of the piston is spaced a given distance from the headpiece, and a cylindrical bearing surface on the headpiece closes the product supply outlets contained in the piston. When the main headpiece is depressed downwardly by the given distance toward an intermediate second position in which the headpiece engages the adjacent piston end surface, the bearing surface on the main headpiece is displaced downwardly to open the piston outlets.

  • Publication number: 20040206781
Abstract: The present invention relates to a dispenser for paste-like products, the dispenser comprising a substantially cylindrical container which contains the paste-like product and which is equipped at the bottom side with a follower piston, which is slidingly displaceable on an inner wall of the container under pressure of the external atmosphere, and at its upper end carries a headpiece which is slidingly displaceable relative to the container and comprises a discharge channel for the product, which is connectable in communicating fashion to the container, and acts on a manually operable delivery means with a delivery chamber of a variable volume for the product.

  • Patent number: 6321908
Abstract: A multi-chamber container comprises a first container for receiving a first product component and a second container for receiving a second product component, the containers being rotationally coupled with one another and each comprising a communication opening for the mutual exchange of the products. Moreover, a closing device is provided for simultaneously closing the two communication openings, the closing device comprising an engaging device for introducing the rotational movement of one container into the closing device, and the closing device further comprising guide devices which are coupled to the other container, such that upon rotational movement the closing device is moved into a position of releasing both communication openings.

  • Patent number: 6240979
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method of filling a dispenser and to the dispenser itself. For already filling a defined part of the head piece (20) when mounting the dispenser after material has been filled into said dispenser and for ensuring an interruption-free dispensing behavior during future operation, it is suggested that, when a first point of airtight sealing of a fluid container (10) by means of a head piece (20) has been reached, the movement of the two elements towards one another should be continued along a predetermined, fixed displacement distance (X). In addition, a dispenser is provided, especially for carrying out the filling method, in which a bottom side of the head piece (20) and a filler opening of the fluid container (10), which is adapted to be coupled to said bottom side, are implemented such that they match.

  • Patent number: 5823394
Abstract: A dispenser for dispensing together a first fluid material and a second fluid material comprising a first material chamber (1a) and a second material supply chamber (1b) for containing first and second fluid materials, and a headpiece (2) comprising a first pump chamber (24) having a first pump piston (27) and being connectable to a first discharge channel (30) and to the first material supply chamber (1a) and a second pump chamber (19) having a second pump piston (26) and being connectable to a second discharge channel (31) and to the second material supply chamber (1b), and having a coaxial arrangement.

  • Patent number: 5673821
Abstract: A dispenser is provided for the concurrent dispensing of two different fluid materials. The dispenser has a first and second supply chamber for containing the two separate fluids, and a headpiece having a first pump chamber and pump piston connected to the first supply chamber and a first discharge channel, and a second pump chamber and pump piston connected to the second supply chamber and a second discharge channel. The first and second supply chambers have a coaxial arrangement.

  • Patent number: 4781483
Abstract: The invention relates to a device (1) for exposing a mass (3) stored in a container (2). Disposed in container (2) is a conventional follower piston (5), the dispensing opening (4) of container (2) being closed by a removable closure cap (11). For generating a vacuum between mass (3) and closure cap (11) there is provided a circumferential gasket (15) disposed between an outer wall portion (9) of container (2) and closure cap (11). For avoiding early wear of this circumferential gasket (15) and the resultant loss of its sealing properties, the invention provides that on removal of the closure cap (11) the circumferential gasket (15) is positively forced into sealing engagement with the outer wall portion (9) of the container (2) by a force generated by the removal of the closure cap and acting in the direction towards said outer wall portion.

  • Patent number: 4139311
Abstract: A cartridge for dispensing a filler stick wherein the stick is advanced automatically out of one end of the cartridge by the removal of the cap. The stick is supported on a piston slidable in the cartridge and vented at the bottom of the cartridge to the atmosphere and the cap and cartridge have a slidable seal such that removal of the cartridge creates a vacuum within the cap to enable the air pressure on the piston to force the stick out of the cartridge.
