  • Publication number: 20220142710
Abstract: Methods and systems for treating osteochondral defects (OCDs) are disclosed. The methods include collecting surface data of a joint using image-free methods, generating a three-dimensional (3D) healthy bone model based on the surface data and a database of healthy bone anatomies, defining a boundary of the OCD on the joint, and generating a 3D implant model based on the 3D healthy bone model and the boundary. The method may also include manufacturing an implant based on the 3D implant model, generating an implantation plan, resecting the joint according to the implantation plan, and placing the implant into the resected cavity. The 3D implant model may include a first and second porous layer separated by a nonporous layer. A polymer material is overmolded onto the second porous layer and treated to exhibit properties that mimic cartilage, while the first porous layer allows the implant to fuse to patient bone.

  • Publication number: 20220143513
Abstract: A sequentially ordered gaming system, kit, or method that allows users to solve a mystery is disclosed, comprising a first objective and a physical package with evidence that enables a user to complete the first objective. A first envelope or other enclosure has a second objective and additional evidence necessary for completion of the second objective, and a second enclosure has a third objective and additional evidence necessary for completion of the third objective. A remote confirmation source is accessed by the user to input specific evidence-related information to determine completion of the objectives and to receive hints. Completion of the first, second, and third objectives in order solves the mystery. The enclosures are typically physical enclosures that are sealed to keep their evidence concealed until use. A final enclosure tells the story of the solved mystery. Evidence includes a combination of a wide variety of materials.

  • Patent number: 11330571
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described that provide for selection of different sets of transmission beams by a user equipment (UE) for establishing beamformed communications with a base station. Each transmission beam of a first set of transmission beams may have corresponding uplink random access channel (RACH) resources. A UE may monitor for transmission beams from a base station and select a first transmission beam of the first set for communications with the base station. As part of a connection establishment, the base station may provide configuration information that indicates a second set of transmission beams that includes each transmission beam of the first set of transmission beams and at least an additional transmission beam. In some cases, the additional transmission beam may be mapped to a first RACH resource that also corresponds to a first transmission beam of the first set of transmission beams.

  • Patent number: 11325498
Abstract: A through the road (TTR) hybridization strategy is proposed to facilitate introduction of hybrid electric vehicle technology in a significant portion of current and expected trucking fleets. In some cases, the technologies can be retrofitted onto an existing vehicle (e.g., a truck, a tractor unit, a trailer, a tractor-trailer configuration, at a tandem, etc.). In some cases, the technologies can be built into new vehicles. In some cases, one vehicle may be built or retrofitted to operate in tandem with another and provide the hybridization benefits contemplated herein. By supplementing motive forces delivered through a primary drivetrain and fuel-fed engine with supplemental torque delivered at one or more electrically-powered drive axles, improvements in overall fuel efficiency and performance may be delivered, typically without significant redesign of existing components and systems that have been proven in the trucking industry.

  • Patent number: 11327728
Abstract: Flexible yet efficient “find” operations search source code for matches to a general pattern after a developer provides an example string that matches the pattern, without requiring the developer to write a regular expression or script that will implement the desired pattern. Example-driven find-replace functionality uses regular expressions or other pattern match codes, and scripts or other transforms, which are synthesized automatically from examples provided by a developer. This technology allows the developer to focus on workflow inside an integrated development environment instead of breaking focus to search for external documentation, or unfortunately foregoing the flexibility and power of regular expressions and scripts. Synthesizer outputs may be directly or indirectly ranked through user feedback, allowing their refinement. Find match generality may be controlled, e.g., by specifying regex star positions or star counts. Entry of guiding examples may be assisted by autocompletion.
