  • Publication number: 20210127428
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. Wireless communications systems may support uplink random access channel (RACH) transmissions on multiple beams and over multiple component carriers (CCs). A wireless device may transmit a random access preamble to a base station in a first RACH transmission, which may indicate a set of CCs over which the base station may respond with a random access response (RAR) in a second RACH transmission. The second RACH transmission may then include an indication for which CCs the wireless device may use for a subsequent RACH transmission (e.g., a RACH message 3). The wireless device may also indicate a beam index and/or time-frequency resources associated with beams and/or CCs used for such cell acquisition transmissions. In other examples, the base station may indicate resources (e.g., via a handover command or RACH command) for wireless device scheduling request and/or beam-failure recovery request transmission.

  • Publication number: 20210123237
Abstract: A composite construction element or panel system for use in construction of multi-storey structures, either as a prefabricated panelized system or as a modular system. The composite construction element comprises two mass timber subpanels joined at a distance to form a hollow core, through which various building services (e.g. HVAC or electrical systems) and/or insulation may be integrated. When used as a modular system, after assembly, the two subpanels become one structural entity of increased structural capacity while providing a hollow core to provide/deliver desired building services.

  • Publication number: 20210127159
Abstract: A client device accesses a video input stream from an intermediate device for display. The client device analyzes the video input stream to determine that the video input stream matches a template indicating a change of speed. In some example embodiments, the analysis is performed while the client device is generating a video output stream that replaces video content received from a content source via the intermediate device. Based on the video input stream matching the template, the client device modifies the video output stream to show the change of speed. For example, commercials transmitted from a national content provider to a smart TV via a set-top box may be replaced with targeted commercials. During the replacement, fast-forwarding of the commercial may be detected by matching a template with the video input stream. While the video input stream is being fast-forwarded, the smart TV fast-forwards the targeted commercial.

  • Publication number: 20210124660
Abstract: Techniques are provided for storing a row address of a defective row of memory cells to a bank of non-volatile storage elements (e.g., fuses or anti-fuses). After a memory device has been packaged, one or more rows of memory cells may become defective. In order to repair (e.g., replace) the rows, a post-package repair (PPR) operation may occur to replace the defective row with a redundant row of the memory array. To replace the defective row with a redundant row, an address of the defective row may be stored (e.g., mapped) to an available bank of non-volatile storage elements that is associated with a redundant row. Based on the bank of non-volatile storage elements the address of the defective row, subsequent access operations may utilize the redundant row and not the defective row.

  • Publication number: 20210124507
Abstract: A computer-implemented method according to one embodiment includes receiving a request to add a generic volume entry to a generic volume element list, storing the generic volume entry in the generic volume element list in a SMS configuration in a SCDS, and building a volume list definition of the SMS configuration. A unit control block chain is parsed for determining additional specific volumes. It is determined whether a specific volume found in the parsing was not used in the building. In response to a determination that the specific volume found in the parsing was not used in the building, it is determined, for the specific volume found in the parsing, whether at least one predetermined condition is met. The specific volume found in the parsing is added to the volume list definition in response to a determination that the at least one predetermined condition is met.

  • Publication number: 20210123503
Abstract: A gear drive, such as for an actuator, is a right-angle drive where toothed outer ridge of a face gear is coupled to teeth of a motor output shaft, and a set of planetary gears are engaged with a central sun gear of the face gear. The sun gear and planetary gears are aligned with the motor output shaft. For instance the motor output shaft may be substantially in the same plane with the sun gear and the planetary gears. From another standpoint the axis of the motor output shaft may intersect the sun gear, as well as intersecting a volume that the planetary gears sweep through as the planetary gears engage the sun gear.

  • Publication number: 20210124183
Abstract: Shaped glasses have curved surface lenses with spectrally complementary filters disposed thereon. The filters curved surface lenses are configured to compensate for wavelength shifts occurring due to viewing angles and other sources. Complementary images are projected for viewing through projection filters having passbands that pre-shift to compensate for subsequent wavelength shifts. At least one filter may have more than 3 primary passbands. For example, two filters include a first filter having passbands of low blue, high blue, low green, high green, and red, and a second filter having passbands of blue, green, and red. The additional passbands may be utilized to more closely match a color space and white point of a projector in which the filters are used.
