  • Patent number: 10512080
Abstract: A base station may make more efficient use of resources by transmitting data in a control region of a slot in addition to a data region. In order to avoid performance loss, the base station may adjust the data transmission in the control region in comparison to a data transmission in a data region and may signal an indication to a UE to assist the UE in receiving the data transmission in the control region. An apparatus for wireless communication at the UE receives the indication from the base station regarding the data transmission in the control region and uses the indication to perform rate matching or demodulation of the data transmission in the control region. The indication may indicate any of a different MCS/rank/TPR, a reduced MCS/rank/TPR, an MCS/rank/TPR delta, a control span for a group of UEs, and a starting symbol for the data transmission. The indication may also indicate that there is no data transmitted on resources in the control region.

  • Publication number: 20190380053
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive, during a transmission interval, a data transmission over a plurality of beamformed channels and, for each data transmission, a reference signal transmitted in conjunction with the data transmission. The UE may perform, for one or more of the plurality of beamformed channels, a channel state measurement procedure during the transmission interval using the data transmission, the reference signal, or a combination thereof. The UE may transmit, over an acknowledgement/negative acknowledgement (ACK/NACK) signal, a feedback report indicating a result of the channel state measurement procedure for the one or more of the plurality of beamformed channels. The base station may perform, based at least in part on the feedback report, subsequent transmissions to the UE over the one or more beamformed channels.

  • Publication number: 20190377346
Abstract: This disclosure presents a robotic device for multi-terrain inspection, composed by a robot body, a quick reconfigurable locomotion module and a mapping unit capable to model the inspected environment through a 3D colored point cloud. The robot has different locomotion mechanisms that can be quickly replaced, thereby changing the robot mobility characteristics. The device is controlled through teleoperation or autonomously. When in teleoperated mode, an operating assist module provides relevant locomotion information to the operator including a map that shows areas where the robot may not transpose or tip-over. This module also suggests to the operator other locomotion configurations to overcome obstacles presented in the map. When in autonomous mode, the navigation module provides a strategy to explore unknown environments and trace optimal locomotion path considering the traveled distance, tipping-over risk and energy consumption.

  • Publication number: 20190377559
Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable media are described for selecting, at build time, a respective compiler and/or a respective set of compiler options for each section of code to be compiled such that the compiler/compiler options selected for each code section are optimized for that code section with respect to one or more metrics. Abstract syntax tree (AST) analysis and semantic analysis may be performed at build time for each section of code to identify the compiler/compiler options that produce compiled object code for that code section that maximizes or minimizes a desired metric. The metric according to which compiler/compiler option optimization is performed may be any suitable metric including, without limitation, performance, binary size, security, reliability, scalability, and so forth.

  • Publication number: 20190377013
Abstract: Systems, methods, and other embodiments are disclosed for validating measured meter data. In one embodiment, a graphical user interface is provided that facilitates configuration of a validation algorithm by a user. Historical usage data is accessed during a non-peak time to offload processing from a peak time. The non-peak time corresponds to a time span when the measured meter data is not being received and/or is not being validated, and the peak time corresponds to a different time span when the measured meter data is being validated. Statistical data is generated from the historical usage data during the non-peak time and stored in a memory. The measured meter data is received and the statistical data is accessed during the peak time. The measured meter data is validated by applying the validation algorithm to the statistical data and the measured meter data during the peak time.
