  • Publication number: 20220300284
Abstract: A method for performing opportunistic write-back discard of single-use vector register values. The method includes executing instructions of a GPU in a default mode, detecting a beginning of a single-use section that includes instructions that produce single-use vector register values, and executing instructions in a single-use mode. The method includes discarding the write-back of a single-use vector register value if the single-use value gets forwarded either via a bypass path or via register file cache. The method includes inserting hint instructions into an executable program code that demarcates single-use sections. A system includes a microprocessor to execute instructions in the default mode. The microprocessor detects a beginning and an ending of a single-use section that includes instructions that produce single-use vector register values.

  • Publication number: 20220297293
Abstract: Implementations are directed to, for each of one or more joints of a robot, generating dynamic joint torque saturation limits for the joint, such as an upper joint torque saturation value and a lower joint torque saturation value. Implementations are additionally or alternatively directed to utilizing the dynamic torque saturation limits for the joint in generating driving torques and/or to driving a motor (or other actuator) of the joint based on the driving torques. Various implementations can enable regulation of contact forces for a robot in situations where the robot lacks joint torque sensor(s) and/or force torque sensor(s) and/or in situations where such sensor(s) are present, but have failed or are malfunctioning.

  • Patent number: 11449237
Abstract: Storage objects and targetless snaps of the storage objects are represented using a system replication data pointer table (SRT), direct index lookup (DIL) tables, and virtual replication data pointer tables (VRTs). The SRT is a system level track-based data structure that stores metadata indicative of the actual (physical layer) allocations for all targetless snapshots in a storage array. The size of the SRT in terms of total entries corresponds to the overall storage capacity of the managed drives of the storage array. Each utilized entry of the SRT includes backend metadata with a pointer to a managed drive and metadata that identifies the associated storage object and track via the VRTs and DIL tables. SRT metadata is created and discarded as backend allocations are utilized and freed so the SRT is a dynamic data structure that can efficiently adjust its size and corresponding memory requirements.

  • Patent number: 11446229
Abstract: The present invention relates to a shear-thinning or pseudoplastic cosmetic composition. Zeta potentials may be balanced such that a first ratio of the first zeta potential to the second zeta potential may be approximately 1:2. A second ratio of the first zeta potential to the third zeta potential may be approximately 1:2. And, a third ratio of the second zeta potential to the third zeta potential may be approximately 1:1. Balancing zeta potentials may ensure the shear-thinning cosmetic composition can dispense in its original viscous form and as a fine mist through a single device.

  • Patent number: 11452101
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Generally, the described techniques provide a mechanism for a user equipment (UE) to identify an uplink transmit beam to be used for communicating with a base station. In some cases, the uplink transmit beam may be based on a recent uplink (or downlink) transmission or set of allocated resources. A base station may allocate communication resources for a UE. The UE may determine, based on the allocated communication resources, a default transmit beam for communicating with the base station. The UE and base station may (e.g., independently) identify a triggering condition for using the default transmit beam. The UE may transmit an uplink communication to the base station using the default transmit beam based on the triggering condition.

  • Patent number: 11450231
Abstract: A math aid that strengthens addition, subtraction, multiplication and division skills as well as math memory. Math facts are displayed on two stuffed rolls using horizontal strips, color differences, various digit sizes and a roll shape all used to increase ease and focus on seeing selected facts for a math problem. Each roll displays numbers in a horizontal row for counting and subtracting. One of the rolls displays a column of even multiplicands, a row of multipliers, and corresponding rows of quotients. The second roll has a similar display but provides a column of odd multiplicands. In using the aid, one selects the facts needed by rotating the roll to the strip of facts needed, then flattening the roll enough to hold its position to see those needed facts.

  • Patent number: 11451014
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a fuse bank design for a heating, ventilation, and/or air conditioning (HVAC) system. The disclosed stair-step design enables the positioning of electrical components of the fuse bank in a non-vertically aligned manner, which blocks the accumulation of heat in the upper electrical components as a result of convection heating from the lower components of the fuse bank during operation of the HVAC system. For example, a fuse bank is disclosed for an HVAC system that includes: a mounting surface; a first fuse block including a first fuse holder coupled to the mounting surface; a spacer coupled to the mounting surface vertically below the first fuse block; and a second fuse block including a second fuse holder coupled to the spacer, wherein the spacer offsets the second fuse block from the mounting surface of the fuse bank in a stair-step arrangement.
