  • Patent number: 10317563
Abstract: A method includes introducing a resistivity logging tool including one or more transmitter coils and one or more receiver coils into a wellbore. First and second signals are then transmitted with a first transmitter coil at first and second frequencies, respectively, and a first receiver coil receives first and second response signals based on the first and second signals. A ratio between the first and second response signals is then calculated to obtain a ratio signal, and the ratio signal is processed in an inversion algorithm. One or more formation characteristics of the subterranean formation may then be determined based on the ratio signal as processed by the inversion algorithm.

  • Patent number: 10316228
Abstract: A multi-phase silicone acrylic hybrid visco-elastic composition prepared by polymerizing an ethylenically unsaturated monomer and a silicon-containing pressure sensitive adhesive composition comprising acrylate or methacrylate functionality in a first solvent in the presence of an initiator, removing the first solvent, and adding a second solvent to form the multi-phase silicone acrylic hybrid visco-elastic composition. Alternatively, a multi-phase silicone acrylic hybrid visco-elastic composition prepared by polymerizing an ethylenically unsaturated monomer and a silicon-containing pressure sensitive adhesive composition comprising acrylate or methacrylate functionality in a first solvent in the presence of an initiator, adding a processing solvent having a higher boiling point than the first solvent, applying heat to selectively remove a majority of the first solvent, removing the processing solvent, and adding a second solvent to form the multi-phase silicone acrylic hybrid visco-elastic composition.

  • Patent number: 10321174
Abstract: In an approach, a server computer receives a request from a client computer specifying particular content for a particular user, wherein the particular content is associated with an original audio language. In response to receiving the request, the server computer selects a preferred audio language and a preferred subtitle language for the particular content based on a particular record of a preference database. The server computer returns asset identifying data that the client computer uses to obtain a stream of the particular content using the preferred audio language and the preferred subtitle language from a content delivery network (CDN) or other asset location. The server computer receives a message from the client computer that identifies an presented audio language and a presented subtitle language that were presented to the particular user while the particular content streamed.

  • Publication number: 20190171969
Abstract: Provided is a system, method and computer-readable medium for generating data that may be used to train models for a natural language processing application. A system architect creates a plurality of sentence patterns that include entity variables and initiates sentence generation. Each entity is associated with one or more entity data sources. A language generator accepts the sentence patterns as inputs, and references the various entity sources to create a plurality of generated sentences. The generated sentences may be associated with a particular class and therefore used to train one or more statistical classification models and entity extraction models for associated models. The sentence generated process may be initiated and controlled using a user interface displayable on a computing device, the user interface in communication with the language generator module.

  • Publication number: 20190170294
Abstract: A lubrication system comprises a lubricant feed tank, a lubricant feed pump, one or more lubricant nozzles, a scavenge pump drive motor, and one or more scavenge pumps. The lubricant feed pump takes suction from the lubricant feed tank and pumps a lubricant feed as lubricant jets exiting the one or more lubricant nozzles. The lubricant feed pump has a rotating feed pump shaft coupled to a power source. The scavenge pump drive motor drives a rotating scavenge pump shaft that is coupled to the one or more scavenge pumps. The scavenge pumps return lubricant to the lubricant feed tank. The feed pump shaft and scavenge pump shaft rotate independently of each other.

  • Publication number: 20190168336
Abstract: A workpiece for use with a friction welding process comprises a weld surface. The weld surface comprises a central ridge surface extending along the weld surface, with the central ridge surface being flanked on either side respectively by a first pyramidal surface and a second pyramidal surface. The first pyramidal surface subtends a first pyramidal angle with the central ridge surface, and the second pyramidal surface subtends a second pyramidal angle with the central ridge surface. The first pyramidal surface is further flanked by a third pyramidal surface, and the second pyramidal surface is further flanked by a fourth pyramidal surface, with the third pyramidal surface subtending a third pyramidal angle with the central ridge surface, and the fourth pyramidal surface subtending a fourth pyramidal angle with the central ridge surface. • Publication number: 20190170406
Abstract: An apparatus includes a heat sink configured to receive thermal energy from one or more heat sources. The heat sink includes a local reservoir configured to hold a liquid coolant, and the heat sink is configured to pass the thermal energy into the liquid coolant in the local reservoir in order to vaporize at least some of the liquid coolant. The apparatus also includes a membrane configured to allow vaporized coolant to pass through the membrane out of the local reservoir into an ambient environment and to prevent unvaporized coolant from passing through the membrane. The membrane is thereby configured to provide passive flow control for the liquid coolant. The membrane could include a vapor-permeable and liquid-repelling membrane. The membrane can also be configured to hold the liquid coolant in the local reservoir against one or more surfaces of the heat sink.

The vanes are arranged at the axially downstream end of the annular combustion chamber. Each of the vanes comprises an aerofoil extending radially between a radially inner platform and a radially outer platform. The radially inner sealing ring forms a seal between a downstream end of a radially inner annular wall structure of the combustion chamber and the radially inner platforms of the vanes. A portion of the axial length of the radially inner sealing ring comprises a radially inner wall and a radially outer wall spaced radially from the radially inner wall to define a chamber. The radially inner wall has apertures to supply coolant into the chamber and the radially outer wall has effusion cooling apertures to supply coolant onto the surface of the radially outer wall.

  • Publication number: 20190174097
Abstract: Systems and methods presented herein generally provide for the compensation of asset providers and/or communications network providers for the non-consumption of assets provided with programming. In this regard, when users elect not to consume the assets associated with the programming, the asset provider loses the opportunity to present their assets to such non-consuming users and is thereby injured in relation to the price they have paid for the delivery of their assets. In one arrangement, a reporting module at a customer device is operative to identify when a user skips an asset and report that skip event to the network. This information may then be utilized to adjust the bill of the asset provider and/or to bill the user associated with the skip event.

  • Publication number: 20190169985
Abstract: A system and technique for obtaining two or more distributed measurements from an optical sensing fiber deployed along a desired measuring path are disclosed. Interrogating probes from two or more different distributed measuring systems are combined and launched into the sensing fiber. Backscattered light generated in response to the combined interrogating probes is separated into portions and each portion is provided to a respective distributed measuring instrument. In this manner, distributed measurements corresponding to different parameters of interest, such as temperature and pressure, along the measuring path can be measured simultaneously using the same sensing fiber.
