  • Patent number: 12076812
Abstract: A method of monitoring a heating operation on a component by a flame torch, including the steps of producing a flame with the flame torch, rotating the component with respect to the flame so that a circular weld is created on the component, and providing a first sensor that is operatively engaged with the component so that the first sensor monitors rotation or non-rotation of the components.

  • Publication number: 20160209146
Abstract: This invention relates to a shotgun tube, either an inserted/attached short section that replaces a conventional choice device, or one that forms an integral section of the shotgun barrel. It is designed to provide major advances in two performance features of shotguns: (1) It provides an extremely uniform expanded shot pattern at short ranges 10 to 20 feet and (2) it provides rotational stabilization for both rifled slugs and sabot encased sub-caliber projectiles that significantly improves accuracy at longer ranges.

  • Patent number: 6952408
Abstract: A method of frequency hopping is supported by a basestation having a broadband transceiver. The method permits changing physical channels upon which mobile subscribers communicate with the basestation, wherein the broadband transceiver is operated using static transceiver frequencies, the method exclusive of switching communication signals between transceivers. In one embodiment, the method maps baseband output signals from a digital channelizer which represent physical channels to ones of digital signal processors representing logical channels and baseband input signals of a digital combiner to ones of logical outputs of digital signal processors according to a mapping signal.

  • Publication number: 20050081114
Abstract: A system includes a data processing core coupled to a system memory employing error correction code (ECC) circuitry. The core includes an indicator of when a correctable system memory error occurs and what address is associated with the error. A watchdog timer is instantiated on a system management device. Periodically, the timer prompts the management device to interrupt the processor and poll the error indicator to determine if a memory error has been detected. If an error is detected, the corresponding physical memory address is recorded. If a predetermined number of consecutive errors associated with a single memory address or range of addresses occurs, an alert is issued. In one embodiment, polling the error indicator is infrequent initially. As additional errors are detected, the polling frequency increases. At higher polling frequencies, the system may require a greater number of consecutive errors before taking additional action.

  • Patent number: 6230026
Abstract: A wireless telephone architecture employs a broadband transceiver that is coupled to a digital channelizer and digital combiner, such as may employ a real-time Fast Fourier Transform, to extract or combine a set of simultaneous baseband signals. The baseband signals which represent physical channels are mapped to a bank of digital signal processors representing logical channels according to a mapping instituted at the initialization of the call. The mapping is changed on a periodic basis to follow a predetermined frequency hopping schedule. Frequency hopping is thus enabled in a statically tuned broadband transceiver.

  • Patent number: 4110045
Abstract: An electromagnetic wave ring resonator is disclosed wherein means in included for spatially rotating the electromagnetic field distribution of waves resonant therein, such rotation being about the direction of propagation of such waves. With such arrangement the electromagnetic field distribution rotating means provides a phase difference between waves of opposite polarization sense, thereby enabling the waves to resonate with different frequencies. In a four frequency laser gyroscope the electromagnetic field distribution rotating means includes a catoptric arrangement which reduces the loss, scatter and linear birefringence associated with a ring resonator included in such gyroscope.
