  • Publication number: 20190251037
Abstract: In an approach for purging an address range from a cache, a processor quiesces a computing system. Cache logic issues a command to purge a section of a cache to higher level memory, wherein the command comprises a starting storage address and a range of storage addresses to be purged. Responsive to each cache of the computing system activating the command, cache logic ends the quiesce of the computing system. Subsequent to ending the quiesce of the computing system, Cache logic purges storage addresses from the cache, based on the command, to the higher level memory.

  • Publication number: 20190247041
Abstract: An incisionless fully endoscopic method of reducing the capacity of the stomach is provided to surgically treat obesity. The method is directed to endoluminal tissue approximation of a portion of the stomach, including at least a portion of the greater curvature thereof. The method includes a pattern of stitching in which a portion of the stomach is closed off. One stitching pattern causes the lateral portion of the stomach to be drawn to reduce the usable volume of the stomach while maintaining a pathway from the esophagus to the pylorus. As the stitching pattern advances, the fundus is automatically drawn downward so that it may be endoscopically approached for stitching in a facilitated manner. According to another aspect of the invention, another stitching pattern extends from the antrum to the fundus between the anterior and posterior portions of the stomach.

  • Publication number: 20190250907
Abstract: Techniques for service modification utilizing a split design-assign framework are described. An existing service design for a service is obtained. The input data structure that would be used to build the desired service design from scratch is obtained or computed. A design “add” function is executed using this new input data structure as if building the desired service design for the first time. A difference is determined between the existing service design and the desired service design, resulting in instructions for objects needed to be created, modified, and/or deleted in the existing service design to achieve the desired service design. These instructions are applied to an inventory system, thereby achieving the desired service design.
