    Abstract: A composite material comprising a recoverable fabric and a polymeric matrix material may be recovered around a cable splice to protect it. The fabric may have multifilament glass fibres in one direction which may be provided with a continuous coating to prevent moisture that may travel along their length from travelling through the thickness of the composite.
