  • Patent number: 11413076
Abstract: A surgical tool adaptor includes a distal interface member and a proximal holder. The surgical tool adaptor is formed with a lumen through the distal interface member and the proximal holder for passing a guiding element (e.g., K-wire) distally through the distal interface member. The proximal holder includes a locking element for locking the guiding element in the lumen and the distal interface member includes a connecting element for connecting to a surgical tool. The proximal holder is movable relative to the distal interface member so that the proximal holder is movable to a position wherein the guiding element does not protrude proximally out of the proximal holder.

  • Patent number: 6946966
Abstract: A method is for diagnosing the driving capability of a driver of a motor vehicle, in which changes in driver condition are ascertained from physiological measured values derived from the driver while driving in the vehicle and evaluated, and if the changes are serious, a warning is issued or remedial actions are initiated, wherein the physiological measured values ascertained while driving in the vehicle are combined by a corresponding expert system with health-relevant data for the driver ascertained in stationary fashion, and with data indicating driver stress that are estimated in particular from the instantaneous traffic situation and instantaneous operating state of the vehicle, and the changes in the driver's condition are weighted with the estimated driver stress and interpreted.

  • Patent number: 6930265
Abstract: In a method and a control system for acoustical function control in a motor vehicle using a speech input system that receives a spoken command and converts it into corresponding control signals, the system is activated by an operating element that is actuated manually and, upon being actuated, outputs to an operating person an indication of its readiness to receive a voice command. The indication is effected by a mechanical deflection from a preestablished position of the operating element, or a part thereof, so as to directly influence the tactile sense of the operating hand of the operating person.

  • Patent number: 5781123
Abstract: In a logging device for registering the frequency of manually entered operator control functions for an electrical device, the frequency of entered operator control functions are selectively counted. Consequently, it can be established with which frequency the individual operator control functions are activated. The logging device may be connected separately to the electrical device, for example a car radio, via a bus or be integrated into the electrical device. The operating characteristics of a certain operator can be stored individually for the operator and can be output automatically when this operator enters an identification code. This simplifies the operating of an electrical device with high operating convenience. It is also advantageous that, for example in the motor vehicle, the driver is distracted less from the traffic situation when operating the car radio.
