  • Patent number: 5344097
Abstract: A recording and/or reproducing apparatus (1) for a record carrier (5) in tape form which extends between two adjacent hubs (3, 4). The apparatus has two winding spindles (9, 10) for driving the two hubs (3, 4), each of the winding spindles being connected in a rotationally fixed manner to a respective friction wheel (14, 15). A rotatable driving part (18) is rotatably mounted on a swivellable carrier (24) arranged centrally in relation to the two friction wheels (14, 15). The carrier (24) can be swivelled about two swivel bearings (41, 42) situated at a distance from one another, each of which is allocated to one friction wheel (14, 15).

  • Patent number: 5316237
Abstract: A recording and/or reproducing apparatus (1), for a record carrier (2) in tape form which extends between two rotatingly driveable hubs (4, 5), has two winding spindles (10, 11) for driving the hubs, each of the winding spindles being connected to one drive wheel (12, 13). For braking the two drive wheels (12, 13), a braking device (30) is provided which has a carrier (33) displaceable perpendicularly to a plane (34) through the axes (31, 32) of the two drive wheels (12, 13) and having two braking surfaces (39, 40) for the two drive wheels. The carrier (33) is of frame-shaped design and has two carrier portions (35, 36) passing through the plane (34) through the axes (31, 32) of the two drive wheels (12, 13), each of which carrier portions is arranged so as to run laterally along one of the two drive wheels (12, 13) outside the region between the two drive wheels (12, 13).

  • Patent number: 4984112
Abstract: A recording and/or reproducing apparatus for a record carrier in tape form housed in a cassette has a cassette holder which can be swivelled between a load position and an operating position. In the load position, a cassette can be introduced as far as an introduction position in the cassette holder fixed by at least one limiting stop on the cassette holder. At least one pressure mechanism is arranged on a carrier which can swivel between an initial position and a working position and is coupled to the cassette holder. The swivel axis of the carrier is arranged offset parallel to the swivel axis of the cassette holder. The pressure mechanism comes into active connection during the swivelling of the carrier into its working position and of the cassette holder into its operating position, due to the mutual offset of the two swivel axes with a cassette introduced into the cassette holder and presses the cassette into its introduction position.

  • Patent number: 4754939
Abstract: A one-way over-running clutch has drive rollers captured in tapering spaces between the driving and driven member, and a cage for guiding the rollers in the direction of tapering. To allow the driven member to be completely free wheeling in both directions when the driving member is stationary, the cage is connected to a mechanism which permits cage movement in when the driving direction. In a drive system for a winding core in a tape recording and/or playback machine, the one-way mechanism for controlling cage rotation includes a second set of rollers captured between a fixed circular cylindrical surface and inclined surface formed on the cage unit.
