  • Patent number: 7773909
Abstract: In a method and system for handling of an endless belt for an electro-photographic printer or copier, an endless belt is borne with aid of a first, a second, and a third cylindrical body. The first cylindrical body is inserted through a loop of the endless belt. The second cylindrical body is arranged outside of the loop of the endless belt and parallel to the first cylindrical body. The endless belt is wound around the first and the second cylindrical bodies. The third cylindrical body is provided through the loop at a free end of the endless belt. The cylindrical bodies with the wound endless belt are housed in a container.

  • Patent number: 6721528
Abstract: A method and apparatus for controlling a lateral position of a band-shaped intermediate image carrier in an electrographic apparatus by regularly detecting a mark on the intermediate image carrier with a sensor. The band-shaped intermediate image carrier is moved in a transport direction from an image generating position at which an image is generated on the image carrier to a transfer position at which the image is transferred. A transverse position of the intermediate image carrier relative to the transport direction is detected and is time correlated with the regular detection of the mark. Intermediate position detections are carried out between the regular detections of the mark in a time-controlled manner. The detected positions are compared to stored position values or calculated theoretical position values and the results of the comparison is used to control position correction devices which change the transverse position of the intermediate image carrier.
