  • Publication number: 20080241433
Abstract: An artificial hedge structure (10) comprising at least two panels, with each panel having a multiplicity of equidistant vertical members (26) and a multiplicity of equidistant horizontal spacers (28). A hinge assembly (44) comprising four hinge tabs (46), a hinge pin (50) and vertical spacers (52) is located between a first panel (12) and a second panel (42). The hinge assembly (44) allows the two panels to be positioned at an angle to each other, and allows multiple panels to be positioned in various shapes such as square or circular. Integrally attached to each panel's vertical member (26) and extending outward from the front and rear surfaces (78,80) are a multiplicity of needle clusters (60). Each cluster (60) has a plurality of resilient needles (66) that extend upward from a lower surface (62). Extending into the lower surface (62) is a cavity (64) that interfaces with a pin (40) that extends outward from the vertical members (26).

  • Publication number: 20080176482
Abstract: A decorative structure (10) comprising a body section (12), a head section (14), at least two appendage sections (16), and a multiplicity of body fur clusters (18). The body section (12), head section (14) and at least two appendage sections (16) are each formed over a three-dimensional lattice frame (20) that is constructed of a multiplicity of longitudinal members (24) that are spaced by a multiplicity of integral lateral member (22). Extending outward from the three-dimensional lattice frames (20) are a multiplicity of pins (28). Each body fur cluster (18) is comprised of a lower surface (34) having a cavity (36), and a plurality of resilient needles (38) that extend upward from the lower surface (34). The upward-extending pins (28) are designed to frictionally fit into the cavity (36) on the lower surface (34). Once all the clusters (18) are attached to the pins (28), the structure (10) will have an enveloping fur-like appearance.

  • Patent number: 6004635
Abstract: An artificial plant assembly (10) that includes a base (12) which serves as a platform for securing the assembly (10) when it is inserted into a vase or the like. The base (10) which can be made in a variety of geometrical shapes such as a circle, a square or a multi-sided shape includes a central stem bore (18) and a plurality of outer stem bores (20). Into the bore (18) is inserted a central stem support (30) which has an upper edge (38) which includes a plurality of inner stem bores (42). Around the central stem support (30) is located, in a random or symmetrical pattern, a plurality of outer stem bores (20). Into the bores (20 and (42) is inserted an inner core (62) into which is inserted one or a plurality of nested and rotatable bulbous sections (70, 92, 102). Each bulbous section has an upper end which terminates with a flora (84) which may consist of a flower of leaf or a combination of various flora.

  • Patent number: 5759645
Abstract: An artificial plant assembly (10) consisting of a stationary central stem (12) and a plurality of rotatable fronds (70). The central stem (12) includes a rigid inner core (14) and a molded outer stem (22). Near the lower terminus (26) of the outer stem (22) is a frond stop (30), a bulbous section (48) located above the stop (30), and extending from the upper end (18) and sides is located a plurality of leaves (58). The rotatable frond (70) also has a rigid inner core (72) and a molded outer stem (80). The outer stem (80) has an upper terminus (82), a lower bulbous section (84), and a plurality of leaves (58) that extend from its upper terminus (82) and sides. The lower bulbous section (84) has an open side (86) and an enclosed lower portion (80) having an opening (90). To produce the artificial plant assembly (10) the lower bulbous section (84) is inserted upward through the lower end (16) of the inner core (14) and forced over the frond stop (30).
