  • Patent number: 10214681
Abstract: A method of treating a subterranean formation including combining an aqueous fluid, a biomaterial, an enzyme, and a deactivator to form a treatment fluid; and introducing the treatment fluid into the subterranean formation. A method is also disclosed for treating a subterranean formation by preparing a treatment fluid containing an aqueous fluid that contains bacterial and/or fungal cells that produce an enzyme that degrades the biomaterial, a biomaterial, and a deactivator; controlling degradation of the biomaterial by adding an effective amount of the deactivator to the aqueous fluid prior to the preparation of the treatment fluid; and introducing the treatment fluid into the subterranean formation. In the methods, the enzyme degrades the biomaterial and the deactivator is an oxygen-containing arene capable of inhibiting the enzyme from degrading the biomaterial.

  • Publication number: 20170167222
Abstract: A method for treating a subterranean formation and for controlling a fracture geometry of a fracture in a subterranean formation. The treatment includes injection of a treatment fluid comprising particles having different sizes and a fiber that does not allow for the particles to settle in a near wellbore area. The treatment fluid triggers particle bridging in the far field.

  • Publication number: 20170044418
Abstract: A method of treating a subterranean formation, the method includes forming a fluid comprising: a crosslinkable component and a water soluble phenolic compound that has at least a substituted hydroxyl or alkyloxy group at the ortho or meta position, or a phenolic cyclic derivative of the general formula (1). The formed fluid comprising a combination of the crosslinkable component and the phenolic compound or the phenolic cyclic derivatives of formula 1 exhibits a fluid viscosity greater than 100 cP at 100/s and 93° C. or greater for at least 30 minutes.

  • Patent number: 9475981
Abstract: A method of treating a subterranean formation penetrated by a wellbore includes introducing a treatment fluid comprised at least a crosslinkable component, and a metal crosslinker to the subterranean formation, forming a crosslinked treatment fluid, and de-crosslinking bonds of the crosslinked treatment fluid by manipulating a pH of the treatment fluid with a pH triggering agent, wherein the pH triggering agent is an amine-precursor compound or a derivative thereof.
