  • Publication number: 20040241742
Abstract: Ligand array processing methods, e.g., array manufacturing methods and array-based assay methods, as well as compositions for use in practicing the same, are provided. A feature of the subject methods is that they include an agent deposition step in which the ligand displaying surface an array is contacted with a low surface tension agent deposition fluid e.g., acetonitrile, that includes an agent of interest, e.g., a feature protectant agent. Also provided are kits for use in practicing the subject methods. The subject methods and kits find use in a variety of ligand array manufacturing and ligand array-based assay applications, including genomic and proteomic applications.
    Type: Application

Abstract: Ligand array processing methods, e.g., array manufacturing methods and array-based assay methods, as well as compositions for use in practicing the same, are provided. A feature of the subject methods is that they include an agent deposition step in which the ligand displaying surface of an array is contacted with a high surface tension deposition fluid, e.g., propylene carbonate, that includes an agent of interest, e.g., a feature protecting agent. Also provided are kits for use in practicing the subject methods. The subject methods and kits find use in a variety of ligand array manufacturing and ligand array-based assay applications, including genomic and proteomic applications.

  • Publication number: 20040241880
Abstract: Ligand array assays that exhibit reduced dye degradation and compositions for use in practicing the same are provided. A feature of the subject methods is that they include a label degradation inhibitor deposition step. In this degradation inhibitor deposition step, the surface of a sample exposed array is contacted with a low surface tension fluid, e.g., acetonitrile, that includes a fluorescent dye degradation inhibitor. Also provided are kits for use in practicing the subject methods. The subject methods-and kits find use in a variety of ligand array based applications, including genomic and proteomic applications.

  • Publication number: 20040241668
Abstract: Ligand array assays and compositions for use in practicing the same are provided. A feature of the subject methods is that they include a wash step in which the ligand displaying surface of a sample exposed array is washed with a low surface tension fluid, e.g., acetonitrile. Also provided are kits for use in practicing the subject methods. The subject methods and kits find use in a variety of ligand array based applications, including genomic and proteomic applications.

  • Publication number: 20040241666
Abstract: Ligand array assays and compositions for use in practicing the same are provided. A feature of the subject methods is that they include a wash step in which the ligand displaying surface of a sample exposed ligand array is washed with organic wash fluid, e.g., propylene carbonate. Also provided are kits for use in practicing the subject methods. The subject methods and kits find use in a variety of ligand array based applications, including genomic and proteomic applications.

  • Publication number: 20040185451
Abstract: Methods of detecting the presence of a nucleic acid analyte in a sample are provided. In the subject methods, a sample suspected of having an analyte is contacted with an array, and any resultant binding complexes on the surface of the array are detected to determine the presence or absence of the analyte in the sample. A feature of the subject methods is that the sample includes at least a first unlabeled nucleic acid made up of at least two types of nucleotides. Also provided are kits for use in practicing the subject methods.

  • Publication number: 20040151635
Abstract: Methods for fabricating chemical arrays, such as biopolymer arrays. The method may include depositing drops which contain probes or probe precursors from positions spaced from the surface onto the feature locations, so that each of the probes or probe precursors binds to the different feature locations. This is repeated as needed at the same feature locations so as to form the array. Drop spacing may be controlled based on deposited drop splat dimensions. Apparatus, computer program products, and arrays are also provided.
