Abstract: A method is disclosed for spreading a non-periodic color signal sent to a spatial light modulator across a frame period. The method can include the operation of dividing a frame period into a plurality of time slices. A further operation can be assigning a color to each of the plurality time slices. Another operation can be interleaving one or more colors assigned to the time slices across the frame period in a non-periodic manner.

Abstract: A color image is produced from image data. Color image bit-planes are generated from the image data. Each color image bit-plane represents a time increment for displaying one color of a plurality of colors for each pixel of the color image. For each of the colors, color patterns are displayed in a plurality of image sub-frame locations. The color patterns represent the color image bit-planes. At least the least significant color image bit-planes are displayed in less than all of the image sub-frame locations.

Medication is maintained in a pressurized container connected to a valve under the control of control electronics and to a compliant chamber. Fluid flows from the container to the chamber and to the ejector head. In a first mode the dispenser is operable to dispense aerosolized medication. In a second mode the ejector head is purged with fluid from the container to maintain the ejector head.

The interferometric modulator is configured to modulate the wavelength of light and reflect modulated light toward the display surface. Abstract: A method and system for reducing a gray scale discontinuity between pixel locations in a blackened state on a contrast enhancing screen and pixel locations in a gradual shading region of an image displayed by a projector on the contrast enhancing screen. The discontinuity is caused by ambient light. The method comprises measuring an intensity of the ambient light, comparing the measured ambient light intensity to an intensity of light projected by the projector onto the gradual shading region, and generating apparent gray scale levels for the pixels to be displayed in the pixel locations in the gradual shading region based on the comparison.

The medicament supply system controllably ejects medicament droplets from the medicament ejector. Further, the inhaler system includes a flow control system in fluidic communication with the medicament ejector. The flow control system is configured to entrain the medicament droplets and pass the medicament droplets to the inhalation/exhalation orifice when the patient applies an in-breath to the inhalation/exhalation structure. In addition, the flow control system is configured to impede a flow of air from the inhalation/exhalation orifice to the medicament ejector when the patient applies an out-breath into the inhalation/exhalation structure.
