Abstract: A method for sharing encryption settings in dual operating systems is provided. The method includes: activating and operating a first operating system; receiving system encryption settings from a user by the first operating system; recording a system encryption status value of the system encryption settings; switching to and activating a second operating system; checking whether a system encryption status value has been set when the second operating system attempts to enter a power saving mode, and when the system encryption status value has been set, temporarily switching to the first operating system and enabling the second operating system to enter the power saving mode; receiving a decryption input from the user by the first operating system; and if the decryption input matches the system encryption settings, switching from the first operating system to the second operating system and awaking the second operating system.

Abstract: A method for controlling an electronic device is provided. A file image is displayed on a touch screen of the electronic device. The file image is designated as an object for adjusting in response to a detection of a first contact with the touch screen on the file image. In addition, a location of the first contact is recorded as a standard point. When a second contact with the touch screen is detected, a location of the second contact is recorded as an operation point. An adjusting process is performed on the file image according to a distance between the standard point and the operation point and the relative position of the operation point corresponding to the standard point.

Abstract: An electronic device capable of ejecting a peripheral element is disclosed, including a housing, a first wheel and a driving unit. The housing has a chamber, wherein the peripheral element is stored in the chamber. The first wheel is disposed in the housing, wherein the first wheel contacts the peripheral element. The driving unit is disposed in the housing, the driving unit rotates the first wheel, and the first wheel moves the peripheral element from a first position to a second position.

Abstract: A gesture input method is provided. The method is used in a gesture input system to control a content of a display. The method includes: capturing, by a first image capturing device, a hand of a user and generating a first grayscale image; capturing, by a second image capturing device, the hand of the user and generating a second grayscale image; detecting, by an object detection unit, the first and second grayscale images to obtain a first imaging position and a second imaging position corresponding to the first and second grayscale images, respectively; calculating, by a triangulation unit, a three-dimensional space coordinate of the hand according to the first imaging position and the second imaging position; recording, by a memory unit, a motion track of the hand formed by the three-dimensional space coordinate; and recognizing, by a gesture determining unit, the motion track and generating a gesture command.
